H. F. Salmans of Hanston was visiting with friends in Jetmore Saturday of last week. John Love of the west part of the county was in town on ness Saturday of last week. Mr.

and Mrs. E. M. Holmes of Hanston were visiting Mrs. Holmes' sister, Mrs.

A. L. Goller, and family, of Benton township Monday of this week. Mr. and Mrs.

Frank Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Will Schoen of Dodge City, came over Sunday evening to attend the revival meeting at the tabernacle. Mr. and Mrs.

A. L. Hull of Sterling township were business visitors to the county seat Monday of this week. Mr. and Mrs.

George Powell and daughter, Birdie, of Hanston, were in town on business Saturday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. D. W.

Sturgeon and son, Claire, of Dodge City, were visitors to Jetmore Saturday of last week. town Tuesday on his way to atin town Tuesday on his way to attend the Rutter sale which was held Wednesday of this week. The first number of the Lyceum course was given Wednesday evening of this week at the High School auditorium. Those who attended report it very good. Elmer Williams of Garfield was a business visitor to Jetmore Wednesday of this week.

Walter Sinclair, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Sinclair had the misfortune to have a leg broken last Saturday morning by having a horse fall on him.

He had come to town with his father who was shipping cattle that morning, and was on his way back home when the accident happened. The leg was broken in three places just below the knee. The young man is getting along as well as could be expected at this time. F. L.

Slaughter of Kinsley was a business visitor to Jetmore last Friday. An Enjoyable Party. A very pleasant time was had Monday evening when Mrs. H. Y.

Breese entertained about ninety guests, members of the United Presbyterian church and others. The house was decorated in a very ghostly manner, and many different costumes were displayed. Louise Frusher wore a dress that was one of her great-grandmother's, and was one hundred years old. Another dress worn at the party was ninety years old and two others about the same age. Rev.

Schuessler, Baptist evangelist, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher and Miss Sexton were there and favored the company with a couple of good songs. The evening was spent in games and fortune telling, everyone enjoying themselves to the utmost, and the entire company voted Mr. and Mrs.

Breese and Herbert royal entertainers, and all expressed a' desire to return there again sometime. Mrs. Henry Rupp Dead. Mrs. Henry Rupp of Hanston, passed away at the family home Wednesday night of last week, after a long illness, and the last two months of her life being confined to her bed.

Mrs. Rupp was an old resident of this county and their many friends extend sympathy to the bereaved husband. Funeral services were held at the Mennonite church at Hanston, conducted by Rev. Hirschler, and burial was made in the Mennonite cemetery near Hanston. Card of Thanks.

I wish to thank all the loving friends and neighbors for the assistance and sympathy in the sickness and at the funeral of my beloved wife who passed away on October 25th The mourning husband, H. Rupp. Frank Sinclair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm.

D. Sinclair of west of town, who has been confined to his bed, for several days, is again able to be up. Mrs. Ella Rhea, mother of Mrs. Will White and Guy Rhea, returned to her home in Larned Monday morning of this week, after an extended here with relatives and frineds.
