Deaths (More deaths, page 3) Mrs. Frank Groering ILTLLSBORO — Mrs. Agnes Greening, 71, Hillsboro, died Tuesday at Salem Hospital, Hillsboro. Born June 4, 1900 in rural Peabody, she married Frank Groening on Oct. 21, 1920. She was a member of the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Survivors include: widower of the home; sons: Merlin, Bidder; Marvin, Hillsboro; Harvey, Lawrence; Wilfred, Detroit, Mich.; brothers, Tom, Herbert, Saskatchewan; Abe Oornelsen, Brandon, Manitoba; sisters: Mrs. John Neufeldt, British Columbia; Mrs. Ted Krukowski, Kitchener, Ontario; five grandchildren. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church; Rev. Marvin Hein. Burial will be in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery. J. M. (Jess) Norris J. M. (Jess) Norris, 63, former resident of Abbyville and Hutchinson, died Wednesday in Burns, Ore., from a heart attack. He was born Aug. 16, 1908, at Abbyville. He worked as a deputy under Sheriff Guy Ankerholz and later owned the John Deere implement dealership and a drug store at Abbyville. He left this area and moved to Oregon in the early 1950s. Arthur Urban Meyer Arthur Urban Meyer, 70, of 401-B East 17th, died Wednesday night at South Hospital from complications resulting from injuries suffered in a traffic accident several weeks ago. He had been an employe of Security Elevator Co., retiring in 1958 after 38 years. Born Dec. 4, 1900 at Burlington, Iowa, he moved to Hutchinson in 1928. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Survivors include the widow, Gene; son, Robert^ Irving, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Marlin Piatt, Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Sally Crane, Seiling, Okla.; stepdaughter, Mrs. Sharon Warner, Manhattan; sister, Mrs. R. L. Hockett, Royal Apartments; six grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Johnson and Sons chapel with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. David J. Max will officiate. Mrs. Carl C. Coleman LYONS - Mrs. Emma D. Coleman, 84, former resident of Sylvia, died Thursday morning at the Lyons Care Home after a short illness. She was born Oct. 25, 1886 in Sylvia. She was married to Oarl C. Coleman July 27, 1910 at Sylvia. He died in 1968. Member of Sylvia Methodist Church. Survivors are: sons, F. Monroe, Boise, Idaho; Carol E., Wichita; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Parson, Wichita; Mrs. Marjorie Vivian, Denver, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. The recommendations of the City Clerk or City Treasurer shall provide for an Investment program which shall so limit the amounts Invested, and schedule the maturities of investments so that t h e City will at all times have sufficient moneys available on demand deposit to assure prompt payment of all city obligations. The governing body shall determine by resolution the amount, method and term of any Investment, and the type of Investment to be made, subject to tho provisions of this ordinance. Section 3. Custody and Safekeeping: Securities purchased pursuant to this ordinance shall bo under the care of tho City Treasurer of the City of South Hutchinson, Kansas, and shall be held In custody of a state or national bank or frust company, or shall bo kept by such officers in a safety box of the City In a bank or trust company. Securities In original ot receipt form hold In the custody of bunk or trust company, shall be held in the name of the City and their redemption, transfer or withdrawal shall be reported to the city governing body.
