Cianahan, 20. was taken to Audrain County Hospital Monday after a head-on collision ai 5:15 p.m. on Highway 54 near Route in Audrain County. The Highway Patrol reported a car driven south by William V. 65, of Mexico, pulled into the path of the nosthbound Cianahan car.

AlcWard was ticketed for improper left turn and failure to yield the right of v.ay. Prisoners arraigned in Magistrate Court Two inmates of the Missouri State Penitentiary, Dave Patterson and Richard Warren Mendel, were arraigned in Magistrate court today on felony charges. Patterson is charged with selling 10.2 grams of marijuana Sept. 16 at the prison. His preliminary hearing was set for Feb.

2. Mendel, charged with es- caoe on Sept. 29, waived preliminary hearing and was bound over to Circuit Court for trial, returnable Feb. 25. Tim E.

Colter dies at age 83 Tim E. Colter. 83, of Centertown, died Sunday'at a Jefferson City hospital after a long illness, Mr. Colter was born Jan. 6, 1889, at New Haven, the son of John and Ella May Lister Colter.

He was married Aug. 20, 1911, to' Buelah Streit Colter, who died May 24, 1965. He later married the former Mrs. Ann Hutchison, Centertown, who died Aug. 23, 1970.

Mr. Coulter was a railroad engineer with the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 45 years when he lived in Jefferson City, He retired Nov. 14, 1959 and moved to Centertown. He was a member of the Centertown Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 43, A.F.

and A.M., Jefferson City, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Survivors include: One daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Landrum, Jefferson City; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Blanchard, Eldorado, and Mrs. Ada Bilh'ngton, Los Angeles, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Centertown Baptist Church, with the Rev. Howard James officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by the Bowlin Funeral Home, California. Mrs.

Spencer, of Mokane, dies Mrs. Hester K. Spencer, 69, of Mokane, died Monday at a Jefferson City hospital. Mrs. Spencer was born in Callaway County on Oct.

15, 1902, the daughter of John H. and Lucinda Moon Freeman. She was married on June 18, 1921, to Ben Spencer, who preceded her in death. She attended church. the Baptist- Survivors include: One son, John Spencer, Holts Summit; three daughters, Mrs.

Millard Rothove, Mrs. Nellie McDonald, and Mrs. Lucinda Zeugin, all of Fulton: one brother, Frank Freeman, Fulton; 28 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Clayypool Chapel, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. George G.

Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in the Bull Cemetery, east of Holts Summit. Mrs. Fletcher dies at hospital Mrs. Golda Fay Fletcher, 67, of Fulton, died Saturday a Callaway Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Fletcher was born Oct. 5. 1904, at Rosebud, the daughter of Joe and MaTy Matthews Laimore. She was married to Cecil Fletcher, who survives.

Other survivors include: A brother, Woodrow Laimore, Jefferson City; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Henry, Jefferson City: five sons, four daughters. 27 grandchildren and two great- granchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton, with the Rev.

Donald DeClue officiating. Burial will be in Laine Cemetery, near Linn. Mrs. Edna Otto dies at hospital Mrs. Edna K.

Otto. 69. of 1710 Green Berry died Monday at Memorial Community Hospital. Born Jan. 2.

1903. at Jefferson City, Mrs. Otto was the daughter of Veit and Elizabeth Dippold Knorr. She was married May 30. 1935.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Kt-v. W. Niedner officiating. Burial will be in River- Cemetery Douglas Elworth Weaver, 44, Versailles, died Sunday at his home.

Mr. Weaver was born April 3, 1927, at Versailles, the son of Quincy and Zona Goans Weaver. His father survives. Mr. Weaver was married to Beverly Weaver, who survives.

A World War II veteran, Mr. Weaver had been employed with Tarkhurst Co. at Sedalia. Other survivors include: His step-mother, Mrs. Zilpha Weaver; one son and five daughters; two brothers, Truman Weaver, Kansas City, and Harold Weaver, Kansas City; a sister, Miss Donna Lee Weaver, Kansas City; a half-brother, James Vernon Weaver, Versailles; five half-sisters, Mrs.

Ruth Pinet, Cedar City, Mrs. Judy Reghan, Meta, Mrs. June Stanley, Stover, and Miss Mary Frances Weaver and Miss Emma Lee Weaver, both of Versailles. a services were held at 3 p. m.

today at Scrivner Funeral Chapel, Versailles, with the Rev. Mel Burnett officiating. Burial was in Stover Cemetery. Former teacher dies in Florida Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood, for Thomas Jefferson Cross, 65, of St. Louis County, a former resident of Jefferson City, who died Saturday following a hearl attack at Clearwater, Fla.

A placement counselor for the St. Louis County Special School District and a teacher in St. Louis County for 25 years, Mr. Cross was a teacher at Simonsen High School here many years ago. At one time he was also associated with the Intermediate Reformatory for Young Men, Algoa Farms.

For seven years in St. Louis County, Mr. Cross was a placement counselor the the mentally retarded. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. C.

R. GHlespie of Independence. Mrs, Kreissler dies at age 72 Mrs. Margareha Kreissler, 72, a former Honey Creek resident, died Monday in a Cole Camp nursing home. Born July 20, 1898, at Honey Creek, Mrs.

Kreissler was the daughter of John Matthaui a Elizabeth Albrecht Sommerer. She was married April 11, 1920, at Honey Creek to Paul Kreissler. He died Feb. 25, 1970. He was a retired farmer.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Cole Camp. Survivors include: A sister, Mrs. William Meier, Route a brother, -Herbert Sommerer, Route a niece raised at the home, Mrs. Wilbur Rcpper, Cole Camp; and several niece and Mrs. Laughlin, of Linn, dies Mrs.

Georgia May Lughlin, 90, of Linn, died early, this morning at a Mt. Sterling Nursing home following an illness of several years. Mrs. Laughlin was born May 11, 1881, near Chamois, 1he daughter of William and' Sarah Allen Bunch. She was married in 1902, at Linn, to Samuel Lafe Laughlin, who died in 1951.

She was a member of the Mint Hill Baptist Church near Chamois. Survivors include: A son, Everett Laughlin, Linn; and two sisters, Mrs. V. G. Jones and Mrs.

Hattie Ferguson, both of Linn. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Morton Chapel, Linn, with the Rev. Rufus Keithley officiating. Burial will be in Linn Cemetery.
