He was a postal clerk and a member of the College Park Baptist Church. He was a life member of VFW Post 2093. Mrs. Esther Frazier, 88, Trailer City, Winter Garden, died Wednesday. Born in Christiansburg, she moved to Winter Garden from West Chester, in 1958.

She was a retired nurse and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Rebecca Lodge 63, Ocala, and the Independent Order of the 'Odd Fellows. Mr. Aaron Peyser Shapiro, 74, 227 Newfield Circle, Winter Park, died Tuesday. Born in Auburn, N.Y., he moved to Winter Park from there in 1971. He was a salesman and Jewish. He was a member of the Young Men's Garment League and the-Workman's Circle, both of New York.

Authorities said the cause of the crash probably won't be known until today after they conduct more tests on the plane's engine and fuel tanks. The pilot, Gregory Stephans, 28, of Tampa, died. He had been trapped inside the plane under 15 feet of water for more than 40 minutes before Orlando Fire Department rescuers freed him. His only passenger, George Petros, 26, of Melbourne Beach, escaped the plane unharmed. Petros was rescued by Randy Morency, a Maitland man who was fishing in a boat with two other men.

Morency said he saw Petros barely treading water and jumped in after him. Divers from the Orange County fire and sheriff i departments spent most of Thursday raising which was underwater but mostly intact' at the south end of the lake, Orange County Lt. rank Brewer said The divers used wire to connect the plane to air-filled drums and floated it to the surface. Then they hooked it up to a wrecker and slowly pulled it to shore. The small aircraft was taken to the sheriffs department hangar at Herndon.

Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board also were studying the plane; Petros, who was treated at Orlando' Regional Medical Center for cuts and bruises, said he and Sriphans had been on a trip to the Bahamas. Authorities said they cleared customs at Fort Pierce, but did not refuel for the rest of the flight to Orlando. Mr. Orville J. Yandow, 61, 70 S.

Doollttle, a test pilot for the Sopwith Camel airplanes, flew damaged planes from France to England for repairs during World War I. He left the U.S. Army in 1919 with the rank of colonel. He directed plastics research for Union Carbide Chemical Co. in Charleston, W.Va., until 1959, then left to form Arcadia Institute, which researched liquid plastics.

4 NEW YORK Mr. John Charles Leslie, 76, who joined Pan American World Airways as an aeronautical engineer in 1929 and retired as a senior vice president in 1970, died Tuesday. He joined Pan Am two years after the airline was founded, and retired as senior vice president for international affairs. George Stoddard Eccles, 81, internationally known banker, financier and civic leader, died Wednesday. Eccles was the founder and former chief executive officer of First Security the oldest multiple bank holding company in the nation. In 1975 he was elected chairman and chief executive officer. Eccles was an economic and financial consultant for the Marshall Plan, and helped implement reconstruction in Europe after World War II. His fame in financial affairs took him throughout the world for conferences and World Bank meetings.

In 1964, he served as general chairman of the International Monetary Conference in Vienna, Austria. FORT MYERS Mr. Charles P. Plumb, 82, creator of the comic strip "Ella Cinders" and a 10-year' Port Charlotte resident, died Tuesday in a rest home in Ashland, Ore. His strip "Ella Cinders" ran for 27 years, ending in 1951.

A popular-newspaper and comic book feature which hit its peak of popularity in the 1930s, it was the first comic strip to be made into a full-length motion picture. Plumb also was the author of three books: "Tin Can Island," "The Tattooed Gun Hand" and "The Murderous Move." LOS ANGELES Mr. Frank Baxter, 86, the com-' fortably wry University of Southern California English professor who brought Shakespeare, science and scholarship to television and won seven Emmys and a Peabody Award in doing it died Monday. From the university lectern where he had taught hundreds of students since 1930, Baxter started his Saturday morning "Shakespeare on TV" show in 1953 and began reaching a TV audience that he and CBS executives were startled to learn was eventually in the millions.
