Call 309-5765 and charge over the phone or come to 300 West Ash, #100 to sign up. • SIMPLY STRETCHING: It's never too late to start your day out with a great exercise class that is designed to keep muscles flexible and strong. Most exercises are done in a chair and adapted to everyone's ability. Vitabands will be used for some of the exercises. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Senior Center, 245 North 9th Street. Cost for the class is $5.00 for the month, payable at the first class of the month. For more information, contact Janice at 309-5765. • BODY SHAPING FOR SENIOR ADULTS: This is another great class being offered to keep you in shape. The YWCA has some wonderful equipment designed to help keep the body toned and fit. Instruction and assistance are available for this class and everyone works with their own fitness plan. What a great way to get in shape or stay in shape! The class will meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Transportation is provided to this activity on Tuesday and Thursday. This movie features James Gamer, Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones and Donald Sutherland in a funny and action packed story of these Air Force test pilots from 1958 who were ready to serve their country as the first Americans in space but were pushed aside. Now, as a Russian satellite fails and is about to crash into Earth, tliey are back in action in a rescue mission. Bring a friend, it's a great movie. Refreshments are provided. The event is free and starts at 1:00 p.m. • GOLDEN YEARS CLUB: We will meet on Monday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Salina Senior Center, 245 North 9th. The evening starts with a covered dish meal followed by entertainment, a business meeting and cards. Door prizes are awarded the first meeting of the month. Membership is open to anyone 55 years or older; cost is $5.00 for a full year. Transportation is provided to the meetings by calling 309-5765 by noon the day of the meeting. • STROKE SUPPORT GROUP: This month our group will be touring the Land Institute. The cast of over 200 will stage this breath taking story of Christ under the stars m Stafford, Kansas. The Mgjestic Pageantry and the Power of the Holy Scriptures blend together to make this two hour production a breath taking event. The motorcoach will leave from the far west parking lot of the BiCenter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11. Please dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor event, and bring a lawn chair. A dinner stop is planned at the Dutch Kitchen in Pleasantview on the way to Stafford. Cost is $22.00.
