"Frosty" Freeman, 88 years, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011. He was born on July 10, 1922 to Walter and Frances Foster Freeman in Fort Collins, Colo. During his youth he lived in both Colorado and Indiana, but returned to Fort Collins to begin college at Colorado (now CSU). When the US entered WWII he enlisted in the Navy and served for 4 years on a destroyer in the South Pacific, in the V- 12 Program at Notre Dame and at Subic Bay, Philippines. During his time in South Bend he met Margaret Ann Bernhardt and they married on February 17, 1946, one month after his honorable discharge from the Navy.

The couple returned to Fort Collins to complete his SENIOR MENU The Nutrition Program serving seniors in Larimer County, a service of Volunteers of America, offers food, fun and friendship for those age 60 and older and their spouses. Meals are served at noon at various sites. For locations and reservations, call (970) 472-9630 by 1:30 p.m. the day before you wish to participate. A $2.50 contribution is suggested.

Frosty joined the National Park Service and had a career that spanned 32 years serving in Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain, Hot Springs, National Capitol Parks East and the Midwest Regional Office. Margaret and Frosty had three children, Steve, Barb and Dave.

His Park Service career provided some of the best memories any family could ever experience. Frosty retired in 1980 and several years later he and Margaret moved back to Fort Collins because they had many close friends in the area and always considered it home. Frosty was active in Golden Kiwanis and enjoyed volunteering for SAINTS, Meals on Wheels and at the Welcome Center. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. In 2005 they moved to Aurora to be near their son, Steve.

Frosty is survived by his wife, Margaret and three children, Stephen Freeman (Sharon) Barbara O1- sen (Jerry) and David Freeman (Shawn). There are five grandchildren, Alison Freeman, Russell Freeman, Laura Lofton, Kelly Berkram and Kim Givler and great-grandchildren, Quinn and Ty Berkram, with another greatgrandchild arriving in June. Preceding him in death were his parents and younger brother, Richard A Freeman. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Frederic C. Windoes Frederic (Fred) C. of Emily H. Windoes passed away at home on March 21, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Evanston, Ill.

in 1916, he was the only child of Frederic C. and Madge Ella Windoes, now deceased. Fred graduated from DePauw University, Greencastle, Ind. and received his Masters Degree at Columbia University, New York City. He received his Doctorate in Education at Michigan State ty, East Lansing, Mich.

Fred enlisted in the army and served in World War II and the Korean War. He and Emily were married during World War II in 1943. After World War II, he taught at Salem College in Salem, W.Va. and later was a Realtor in Clarksburg, W.Va. Fred was a Superintendent of schools in Northern New Jersey and professor of school administration at Indiana State University, Terra Haute, Ind.

Fred and Emily retired to Fort Collins in 1990. Their joyful life together included extensive world traveling and reading. Although quiet at times, he was known for his wit, dry sense of humor and deep interest in others. His volunteer work included Kiwanis Club and Poudre Golden Key Club. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at Depauw University.

He is survived by his wife Emily and nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service to honor Fred's life will be held at Allnutt Home, 650 West Funeral Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526, on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Donations in his honor may be made to the Larimer County Humane Society, Alzheimer Association, or to Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at Depauw University Greencastle, Indiana, in care of Allnutt Funeral Services, 650 W.
