FARMERS TELEPHONE RICEVILLE Farmers Telephone Co. to Convert to Dial System RICEVILLE C. C. Pearce, manager of the Farmers Telephone Company at Riceville, has announced that plans are being completed for the erection of 21x30 foot addition to the present building in Riceville. This is part of a proposed $100,000 provement plan which will bring modern dial service to the Rice-25 ville community in the early part of 1960.

THE ADDITION will house the new central office equipment, and upon completion of the conversion to dial system, the presbuilding will be used for the business offices of the The Farmers Telephone Co. He was sentenced to serve 27 years in the Nebraska Penitentiary McCampbell allegedly shot his wife, Florence, 50, with a .22 caliber rifle, Jan. 17, in their farm home southeast of Monroe. They had been married only a year. Mrs. McCampbell was the former Mrs.

NORTH IOWA DEATHS Mrs. Lulu Little Dies at 87; Rites Tuesday CHARLES CITY--Funeral services will be held at the Haus. Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Lulu Little, 87.

She died Saturday at the Charles City. Nursing Home where she had been a patient several months. She had been a resident of Charles City for 35 years, and member of the First Christian Church. The Rev. Eugene McMann, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

She is survived by one daughMrs. Joe Reilly, Huron, S. a son, Roger H. Little, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Edward R.

Little, who died Dec. 26, 1932, and a son, Raymond. Minnie Sage Dies in Illinois; Rites Wednesday NORTHWOOD Mrs. nie A. Sage, 82, died at the home of her grandson, Chris Sage, Ottumwa, where she had been living recently.

She had lived in Worth County most of her life. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church with a prayer service at 1:45 at the chapel. The Rev. Oscar Mikkelson will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Rest Cemetery.

The Conner Funeral Home is in charge. She is survived by her grandson, three sisters, Mrs. Alvida Anderson, Albert Lea; Mrs. Sophia Hopkins, Mrs. Laura Nordahl, Mason City and a brother, Lawrence Peterson, Emmons, Minn.

Kathryn was endorsed by the Thompson Study Club. Warrant Served on Beer Charge CHARLES CITY--Jerome Pitz, 19, of Charles City, was released from the Cedar Valley Hospital Sunday morning. He had been confined there with injuries suffered when two cars collided headon April 19 at the junction 218 and the Clarksville Road.

Pitz, who was charged with possession of beer, was immediately served with a warrant on the charge. Justice the Peace Sidney Curtis set his bond at $500 and released him into the custody of his mother until he is able to go to jail post bond. Suffering a back injury, Pitz will be compelled to wear a cast the next six months because of a broken back. Jerry Wad, 19, Ionia, driver; the car in which Pitz was ridling, was not injured enough to hospitalized. He was jailed on charge of illegal possession of beer and later released when he waived a preliminary hearing on the charge and posted a bond for his release.

The second car, driven by Jeffrey Lewis, 17, of Charles City, contained Sharon cypher, 17, Floyd, who is still the hospital, suffering from a concussion and deep facial injuries. Lewis has been from the hospital. He suffered, deep tongue wound and facial scalp lacerations. SPRING CONCERT RAKE--The Rake Community School music department will present a spring concert at the school gymnasium at 8 p.m. The concert band will play eight selections including the three members to be used at the stale large group contest.
