2A THI SUNDAY CONSTITUTION, May 1 977 Mutts Honored I Trial Of Accused Wife Slayer Tops District Court Jury Docket At Shelter Show By tv CMstJtitit surr rpHE CREAM of the city's mutt J- population along with their young trainers competed Saturday during the annual Mixed-Breed Dog Show held at the animal shelter. Munching on free cookies and soft drinks, participants and spectators crowded around the show ring watching the canine contestants take their best shot. Chief animal control officer T.E. Mayo was master of ceremonies for the event which was limited to mutt owners under 15 years of age. TTie prize for largest dog went to Donald Crouch, 8, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Couch, Pumpkin Center, who lead, or more accurately, was lead by a part German shepherd almost as tall as he was. The smallest dog belonged to Shone Warren, 4, son of Mr. and Mra. Danny Warren.

1420 Tower Road. Deborah Mayo, Mayo's daughter, again won top honors for the best trick dog. Kathy Bluford, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.W.

Bluford. 330 Compass, not only took top honors for having the best dressed dog, but Vera, a dog of undeterminable origin, was judged best of show. The show, limited to mixed breeds only, topped off the city's observance of national "Be Kind To Animals Week." All participants in Saturday's competition received a ribbon. Oil Meeting Set DUNCAN (Staff) An oil and gas mineral rights management meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at the Stephens County Fairgrounds here.

The program is to be presented by Bob Lamar, director of the Grady County OSU Extension Service, according to J. D. Lockwood, Stephens County OSU Extension Service director. Recently Lamar was assigned special extension service duties statewide in oil mineral management, Lockwood said. A report on the organization of a county mineral owners association will be outlined during the meeting, Lock-wood said.

By DAN MANLEY Trial for Larry Charles Reynolds, 28, charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of his wile at a lake party Sept. 5. heads the felony cases set on the district court jury docket beginning Monday. Jury selection in the Reynolds' trial will begin Tuesday in the courtroom of Dist. Judge William Roberts.

Three days have been set aside for what if predicted to be a lengthy trial. According to preliminary hearing testimony, Reynolds' car was stopped by deputies for a traffic violation one mile west of U.S. 277 on SH 49 at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 5.

The body of Sandra Reynolds, the defendant's estranged was found in the back seat, deputies testified. Reynolds allegedly shot his wife at a party on Robinson's Landing (Lake Lawtonka). The late-night party was attended by members of the Plainsmen motorcycle club, according to preliminary hearing testimony. The pistol reportedly used in the incident was found on the dashboard of the Reynolds' auto, authorities testified. Jurors are expected to appear at the jury holding room of the county courthouse by 9 a.m.

Monday when three trials begin the court docket. Alfred Lee Smith, 21, will stand trial Monday on the charge of robbery by force and fear. The trial will be in the courtroom of Dist. Judge Jack Brock for a Dec. 9 incident in front of a city discount store.

Smith and Johnny L. Johnson, 18, allegedly stole a purse from a city woman, knocking her to the ground, police said. The two were arrested a short time after the incident. Johnson was certified as an adult Tor trial (he was a juvenile at the time of the incident) and will face a jury in Roberts' courtroom the same day as Smith. Monday, in the courtroom of Dist.

Judge J. Winston Raburn, Charles W. Neal, 32, and Boyd M. Hull, 48, will stand trial for burglary of vending machines. Neal and Hull, both of Joplin, were arrested outside a Law ton apartment complex laundry here Dec.

7 by security officers and police. Tuesday. John Allen Edwards. 47, stands trial in Raburn 's courtroom for allegedly possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute. Edwards was arrested by sheriffs deputies Oct.

14 after he allegedly tried to sell a quantity of marijuana to a law enforcement agent. Fred A. Dilworth. 27, will stand trial Friday in Brock's courtroom on a charge of feloniously pointing a pistol at an off-duty Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer Dec. 27.

OHP Lt. Fred Whitehead said he was driving to a doctor's appointment when he stopped behind Dilworth's vehicle, which was blocking traffic on a north-side residential street. Dilworth allegedly pointed a pistol at the unarmed officer and threatened him, Whitehead said. The Fort Sill man was later arrested in his barracks by military police. Alvin Washington.

Vr arm Friday in Rsburn'i courtroom on a charge of assault with intent to commit rape. Michael Bolding, 20. and James A. Price, 22, will face a jury May 16 in Brock's courtroom for an alleged armed robbery incident Dec. 22.

The two Fort Sill men are charged with robbing three other soldiers at gunpoint of more than J300 in cash. Richard Cox, 18, faces a jury May Iflth in courtroom on a charge of second degree burglary.
