Also beginning today is the Citgo Invitational Baseball Tournament at Ouachita Christian School. More than 800 track and field athletes 6 to 18 years old from Louisiana and Mississippi are scheduled to compete in the Junior Olympic meet The top four qualifiers in each event move on to regional competition in Nashville.

"I think it is great that the community can be involved in this," Peak Performance Track Club "It's like a summer league," West Ouachita coach Mitch Thomas said. The nine teams will begin pool play with Ouachita meeting Bastrop at OCS at 7 p.m. today. On Saturday, competition will be held at both OCS and St. Frederick ballparks.
