Brophy was the husband of Jenette (nee Feledy), father of Julie A. (Richard) Hensley of Crestwood, and grandfather of Bridget, Nickole and Mario. Women's bill awaits Governor's signature Amendment 39 od Senate Bill 753, which would establish the office of the Illinois Women's Advocate in the office of the Governor, passed the illinois legislature on June 30 and now awaits the signature of Governor Thompson.
