The Baker University Glee club will give an entertainment at the" Methodist Episcopal church of this city on next Saturday evening. This club is making' a tour of this part of the suite I advertising the Baker universliy at Baldwin. A small charge will be made, the money polng to pay the transportation for tlie club. Remains of Dare O'Connor Were In- tered In ParsonH Cemetery. The funeral of Dave O'Connor, formerly of this county who mefc death by falling from' an engine on which he was firing out of Muskogee, Saturday, was held this morning at nine o'clock at St. Patrick's Catholic church at Parsons and the interment took place at Oakwood cemetery. The funeral was under the management of the Brotherhood of Ix)comotlve Firemen and Englnemen. The Sun has the following to say of Mr. O'Connor: David O'Connor was one of the most highly respected employes on the M. K. & T., and was highly esteemed by both the officials and employes of the road. He has been in the employ of the company since 1892, and has had several opportunities to be advanced to engineer but preferred to remain on the other sld^of the cab and passed up the opportunities, allowing others to be advanced over him. His lather mother and brothers and sisters live at Humboldt and will- be here for the funeral tomorow.
