repeats plantings of iris roses tiger lilies and madonna lilies This path goes through a trellis covered with Virginia creeper to benches that overlook lathead Lake This also leads to how the Du fours came to choose a Boo as the name for their home So many times there were comments on how the peeked through the trees when it rose to make a silver path across the lake until the frequency of the garden surround ing Mr and Mrs Emile Du four's home are a riot of color It has taken eight years of work and planning work and rc arranging work and a lot of green thumb know how to produce the many flower beds so as each blossoms finish blooming and arc cut back later blooming plants bring forth a new color scheme Pairs of ink flamingo yard or naments bird baths bird houses and hangers make this a unique garden where bench es and seating arrangements are place so not only the lovely flowers roses phlox joyed liful Mrs hanging baskets with a chick en wire base and lines them with moss taken from the hill sideside back of their home Wind chimes hang from the various shade and ornamental trees to provide a constant faint tinkling sound UNUSUAL Among the unusual in bloom ing plants is the blooming plate which puts forth a rather flat oval deep yellow blossom which Mrs Dufour said re tains its true color when dried making it ideal for winter bou quets She has one large buck horn tree sometimes called torch tree or candle tree that makes a striking shade tree with long branches that end in ong slender leaves almost fan shaped where the red torch es blossom The tree has a somewhat
