Golden was born Oct. 18, 1900, in Smith Center, to the late Aaron L. and Anna P. (Bowman) Golden. He married Effie M.

Logan Feb. 27, 1924, in Osborn, and the couple farmed in Kansas and ranched in Nebraska before moving to the Rice area Dec. 1, 1955, where they farmed. He founded Golden Tree Farm near Rice in 1958. Survivors include his wife; sons, Gerald and Virgil, Rice; sister, Mrs.

Harry (Ruby) Weaver, Smith Center, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Pallbearers will be Bill Petrik, Ben Schoenherr, Don Fenlason, Willard Petron, Walter Adams and Jim Schlangen. Larson Orville J. Larson, 80, 1101 Minnesota Blvd.
