NEWS THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2007 B-3 OBITUARIES Doris Helen Reilly, mother and grandmother PISCATAWAY Doris Helen Reilly, 79, of Piscataway, died Monday (Dec. 24, 2007) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. She was born in Plainfield and has lived in Baltimore before moving to Piscataway 60 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1995. Doris worked as a clerk for Hudson United Bank in Dunellen for three years and then she was a short-order cook for Brookside Bowling Lanes in Piscataway for nine years.

Many years ago she graduated from Drake Business School in Plainfield. She was a member of the First Ladies League in Green Brook for 17 years and she was also a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. Surviving are two daughters, Doreen Dunbar and her husband, Richard, of Piscataway and Doris Ann DiMatteo and her husband, John, also of Piscataway; and a grandson, Brian Dunbar. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Dunellen, followed by an 11 a.m.

funeral service in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Donations in Doris' name would be appreciated to the Arthritis Foundation. Rosalie J. Karkoska, beloved wife and mother HIGH BRIDGE Rosalie, J.

Karkoska, 50, died Wednesday (Dec. 26, 2007) at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township. Born on June 2, 1957 in Piscataway, she was the daughter of the late Robert Becker and Stella Brzuzy Becker. She was a legal secretary for several businesses and more recently she was employed by WalMart in Clinton in retail sales. She resided in High Bridge since 1984.

Mrs. Karkoska was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Califon. Surviving are her husband of 31 years, John Karkoska of High Bridge; son, Michael J. Karkoska of High Bridge; daughter, Jennifer R.

Karkoska of Washington; mother- Angela Karkoska of Clinton; two sisters, Mariann Ambrosino and Marilyn Zeleny; and two brothers, Robert and William Becker. A funeral Mass will be offered 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Route 513, Califon, (908) 832- 2513. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clinton Township.

Meier, 88, died peacefully Saturday (Dec. 22, 2007) at her son's home in Belle Mead. Marie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was a lifelong resident of Somerville. She was employed as a pharmacy technician for Perl's Pharmacy in Somerville for over 25 years retiring in 1992.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Raritan. Marie was an avid reader and was a devoted mother, grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Meier, who died in 1997. Surviving are two sons, Dr.

Peter Meier and his wife, Becky and Kenneth Meier, and his wife, Donna; a brother, Joe Krol; two sisters, Kitty Schettini and Helen Krol; and six grandchildren, Stephanie, Kelly, Natalie, Steven, Kevin and John. 23, 2007) at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on June 4, 1924, the only child of the late Clarence and Marie Brown Ten Eyck. He had resided in Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Bridgewater in 1976. Mr. Ten Eyck graduated from the University of Rhode Island receiving a bachelor of science degree.

Mr. Ten Eyck was the general manager of New York brokerage operations employed by Paul Revere Life Insurance Company in New York City beginning in 1961 after having worked for Connecticut General Life Insurance Company. Mr. Ten Eyck was known as a disciplinarian who emphasized goal-setting, hard work and visiting clients on a daily basis. He personally trained 25 percent of all Paul Revere General Managers in the Brokerage division throughout the country prior to retiring in 1985.

Mr. Ten Eyck was a member of the National and New York Life Insurance Underwriters and the New York Association of Life Supervisors. He was a member and pastpresident of SWIM, Inc. in Bridgewater; a founder of Bagel Boys and Girls in Somerville formed from volunteers of SWIM, Inc. who met socially; and a member of the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church.

He was predeceased by a son, Stephen Ten Eyck, who died in April 2004. Mr. Ten Eyck is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lucy T. Ten Eyck; a daughter, Priscilla Wynkoop and husband, Bob of Beach Haven; a son, Peter Ten Eyck and his wife, Alicia, of Houston; two stepsons, Steven Stelling his wife, Patty, of Lebanon and Theodore Stelling and his wife, Angel, of Staten Island, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Robert Christopher and Brian Wynkoop, Peter, Katherine and Christian Ten Eyck, Heather Horton and Angelica and four great Samuel grandchildren, Henry, Wynkoop and Ethan Horton. Service will be 11 a.m.

25, 2007 STATE COLLEGE, Pa. William R. Lowry, 95, of State College, formerly of New Jersey and Huntingdon, died Tuesday (Dec. 25, 2007) at the Fairways at Brookline Village at State College, Pa. He was born Dec.

12, 1912 in Weston, Ontario, Canada, a son of the late Robert and Marie Catherine Blaney Lowry. On June 28, 1933 in New York City, he married Dorothy F. Berin, who preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 1999. Mr.

Lowry was the last member of his immediate family in his generation. He is survived by a daughter, Colleen Judith Andiorio of Harrisburg, Pa. William graduated from Plainfield High School. He served in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps during World War II, earning the rank of staff sergeant.

He worked for ITT World Communications in New York City for 43 years, retiring in 1971. Following his retirement, he worked for Penfield Gas Company for 18 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1754 in Huntingdon. He was an avid model railroad enthusiast. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m.

She was born and raised in Plainfield and had lived most ofher life in the Piscataway area. Mary lived in Middlesex for nine years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. Mary was an active member of the Brownies and Girl Scouts, the PTA of the Piscataway school system and the Atlantic Tea Company in Newark where she worked on a a comptometre. Mary also enjoyed baking and sewing.

She is survived by three daughters, Veronica Semiraro and her husband, Paul, of North Carolina, Catherine Parascandola and her husband, James, of Bridgewater and MaryPat Sutton of South Bound Brook. Also surviving are a sister, Patricia Bates of Georgia; a brother, John P. Connolly Jr. of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Nicole Semiraro, Anthony and William Parascandola. A funeral Mass will be offered 9:30 a.m.

25, 2007) at Raritan Health and Extended Care Center, Raritan. Born in Brewer, Maine, she formerly resided in Wayne and then Whiting before moving to Raritan 11 years ago. She was a homemaker. Ethel was an avid reader and enjoyed reciting poetry, dancing and singing old favorite songs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lily Mae Whelden George; her husband of 41 years, Edgar, in 1972; and son, Edgar, in 1994.

Surviving are her beloved son, Clair and wife, Lucille, of Raritan; her loving daughter, Cynthia Schnepel, of Tampa, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a school crossing guard for the Borough of Bernardsville for 15 years, retiring in 1997. She loved to knit and take care of her dog, "Buddy," and was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bernardsville, and a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Bernardsville Fire Co. Kopetz, 87, died Saturday (Dec. 22, 2007) at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Martha was born in Hazelton, Pa. and resided in Somerville for over 56 years. She was a homemaker and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Martha enjoyed Ladies Auxiliary. Martha enjoyed cooking and was a devoted mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Kopetz, who died in 1980; and a son, Michael who died in 1972. Surviving are her daughters, Marie M. Vladyka and her husband, John and Carol Van Orden and her husband, Thomas; and two grandchildren, Sandra Vladyka and Cynthia Wolchesky; and greatgranddaughter, Ava Christine.

23, 2007) in Birmingham, Ala. She was born on Aug. 5, 1911 in North Chicago, Ill. She resided for more than 50 years in North Plainfield where she was a communicant of St. Luke's Catholic Church.

She recently resided in Hoover, and Flemington. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley E. Williams, and her grandson, Frederick Heffler, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Alice Merk of Flemington and Nancy Heffler and her husband, Frederick, of Hoover, Ala. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Thomas Meade of Indiana, Alison Lesko and her husband, Timothy, of Jamesburg, James Meade of Sussex, Nancylee Barefield of Alabama, and Stephanie Merk of Lawrenceville; and six greatgrandchildren.
