He was called there by the serious illness of his father. Last week the firm of Chesky Re-chif, of Nickerson, was dissolved by mutual consent, Mr. Rechif retiring, and in the future the business will be conducted by Mr. Chesky. This was one of the oldest and most successful firms Nickerson.

We hear Mr. Rechif contemplates locating in Few-ton. Mr. Chesky will be found at the old stand ready at all times to take care of the wants of the people in the meat line, and also engage in shipping stock. Salt Creek.

Mr. and Mrs. Kemp, of Center, were visiting at A. last week. Walter Thompson went to the wolf hunt in Center last Friday, but owing to the weather the hunt was not successful.

B. Phelps did the overhauling. The people of this community have been looiting forward with considerable amount of interest to the Dade-Rice case to be tried before Judge Simpson Thursday. This trial is the outcome of the follies of "old age" and the "shattered affections of youth." Both parties are well known, and from rumor it will be quite a sensational affair. M. L. Barrett, one of the editors of the Arlington Enterprise, was in town Van Camp, Hansen Last Satnrday was a great day for the banters, as most everybody was at it. Allen Sprowl and Sam Tansickle shot nearly forty rabbits during the day. Josh Foraker fold a pair of mules to Hoi ten a few days ago.

We hear that John Turkle and wife have diBolved partnership. E. E. White was in Burrton one day last week. The series of special meetings that we mentioned in a former article to be held at the Valley Presbyterian church soon, will commence January 3 to continue for a couple of weeks anyway.

Ex-Sheriff Patton is building a large barn on his farm, but does not expect to move out uatil spring. We hear Mr. McCandless will move on his farm in the spring. Johnny Tuttl was in Talley last No. 19 N.
