Peterson to New Zealand Kama Peterson, sophomore at Kansas State University, will travel to New Zealand Feb. 18 to study at the University of Otago, at Dunedin. She was chosen last October to take part in an exchange program between the two universities. Every two years the College of Human Ecology, formerly the College of Home Economics at K-State, selects a student to receive the scholarship. Room, board, tuition and other expenses are included for the school year, which lasts through November 1986. Those selected were Sharon Ecton and Michelle Stuck, Veterinary Administrative Assistant Department; Marge Good and Scott Spicer representing the Business Computer Programming course; Becky Brown and Barbara Mitchell, Court Reporting, and Dorothy Fraley, Travel and Tourism Management Department. Selection for the Honor Society is made on the basis of academic record, attendance, attitude, participation in school and civic activities, and promise of success in his/her chosen field of study and employment. Correction The names of two students on the Marymount College Dean's List, published in last week's Neighbors section, were dropped as a result of a typographical error. Also on the Dean's List for the fall semester are Maria Johnson, Topeka, and Kenneth Johnston, Concordia. Nye, and Traffic Safety Engineer Don Bassett for getting the ramps of the Broadway overpass repaired so quickly. It means a lot to know our city officals care about the youth of our city and that once again the children can cross Broadway safely. Also thanks to the parents who walked with the petitions to get them signed and all those concerned citizens who signed them.
