San Diego (1-3) came back behind Evan Harney, who gained 139 yards on 32 carries and scored on a 3-yard run. But Todd Mortensen was intercepted by linebacker Zak Keasey at midfield on a fourth-down pass with 3:45 to play to seal the win.

Princeton scored on its first possession on a 2-yard run by quarterback Matt Verbit. After the Tigers' two defensive touchdowns, the Toreros cut the lead to 21-14 in the second quarter on Harney's TD run and Mortensen's sneak from 1 yard out. Brett Trichilio rushed for 117 yards and two first-half touchdowns as Wilkes scored 39 unanswered points while holding FDU-Florham to 78 yards on the ground. The Dukes were a replacement on West Virginia's schedule when Miami moved to the Atlantic Coast Conference along with Virginia Tech this season. About the only disappointment for Notre Dame on Saturday was that after playing their best half offensively, the Irish couldn't move the ball in the second half. Cory Randolph threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Willie Idlette with just more than a minute left, giving Wake Forest a victory over Boston College. Raymond Kirkley rushed for 108 yards on 26 carries for the Panthers. Furman has now lost 13 of its last 14 games against Division I-A opponents. Pittsburgh (2-1), which fell behind 31-17 in die third quarter, forced overtime with three touchdowns in the last 11:33 of regulation.
