COURIER NEWS WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2004 B-3 Edward Joseph Kosinski, 'Pops-Ja Ju-Krumba' MORE OBITUARIES, PAGE B-2 OBITUARIES Adella Tiby' Wotherspoon, retired teacher BRIDGEWATER Edward Joseph Kosinski, 78, entered eternal peace Monday (Feb. 2, 2004) at his home surrounded by his loving family. Eddie lived happily in the Finderne section of Bridgewater. He was an avid fisherman, exploring the deep sea and the banks of the Raritan River with his seven children and generations of nieces and nephews. Eddie also enjoyed playing poker at family picnics and visiting his "playground," Atlantic City.

Eddie's cryptic sense of humor delighted his family and friends while his deep sense of wisdom, kindness and humor impacted all. Eddie was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and later as a paratrooper in the 92nd Airborne Division. Ed's memory will be forever cherished and honored by all. Eddie is survived by his loving 1 Louise E.

Hecker, 92, longtime Plainfield resident BEVERLY, Mass. Louise E. (Houck) Hecker, 92, died Friday (Jan. 30, 2004) at Beverly Hospital in Beverly, Mass. Born in Penbrook, she lived in Plainfield most of her adult life.

For the last 20 years, she lived in Massachusetts to be near her daughter. She was most recently a resident of Brighton Gardens in Danvers, Mass. Prior to her retirement in 1979, Mrs. Hecker was employed for many years as a claims adjustor for the State of New Jersey in the Department of Employment Services. She served during World War II in Tiby took a very active part in community affairs and activities.

Her primary interest was in garden club activities. She was a member of the Garden Club of Watchung from 1961 until her death. She was club president twice, from 1966 to 1968 and from 1973 to 1974. She was a member of the board of the Garden Club of New Jersey from 1969 to 1999, and a member of the Central Atlantic Regional Board of National Garden Clubs from 1975 to 1995. She served on the Traffic Beautification Committee of the Borough of Watchung and was also a mem-beroftheNew Jersey Governor's Blue Star Memorial Council.

She had many other interests, including the following: She was a longtime member of the Plain-field Symphony Auxiliary and the Benevolent Circle King's Daughters, and was also a driver for the Plainfield Red Cross Motor Corps from 1942 to 1945. A memorial service celebrating Tiby Wotherspoon's life will take place at 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at Wilson Memorial Church, Watchung. Arrangements are by Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Watchung.

Madge Lee Barber Talley, schoolteacher PLAINFIELD Madge Lee Barber Talley, 90, died Friday (Jan. 30, 2004) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Plainfield. Born in Rockhill, S.C., she had been a resident of Plainfield for 50 years.

Mrs. Talley earned her bachelor's degree from Benedict College in Rockhill, S.C., and her master's degree from Clark University, Atlanta, Ga. She was employed as a first- grade teacher at Clara Barton School in Metuchen and Martin Luther King School in Edison. She was a 40-year member of the United Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Sunday-school teacher. She was a charter and founding member of Theta Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Plainfield chapter.

She was predeceased by her husband. Rev. Benjamin Talley. Surviving are her son, Eric Tal-ley-Knight of Plainfield; and three grandchildren, Adam J. and Ka-ress S.

Knight of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Brianna Coleman of Plainfield. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at United Presbyterian Church, 525 E.

Front Plain-field. Visitation will be from 7 to p.m. today at Judkins Colonial Home, 428 W. Fourth Plainfield. WATCHUNG Adella "Tiby" Wotherspoon, a Watchung resident for more than 93 years, the widow of James Wotherspoon, passed away Jan.

26, 2004, at the Berkeley Heights Convalescent Center. Tiby Wotherspoon celebrated the achievement of her 100th birthday on Nov. 28, 2003. Born in New York City and named Adella Martha Liebenow, Tiby has an important place in New York City's history, being the youngest survivor of the "General Slocum" steamboat disaster of June 15, 1904, and at her death, was also the oldest survivor. Tiby and her mother moved to Watchung in July 1910.

She attended Watchung Grammar School (in the building that is now Watchung Arts Center) and then Plainfield High School, where she graduated in 1921. She graduated in business education from Trenton Normal School (now Trenton State College) in 1924. She taught at Cleveland High School in Cran-ford from 1924 to 1925. She then joined the business education department of Plainfield High School in 1925 and taught there until her retirement in 1961. She joined Wilson Memorial Church, Watchung, as a charter member in 1913 and was a member of the congregation until her death.

Regina Pellechio, 43, devoted wife and mother LEBANON TOWNSHIP Regina Pellechio, 43, died Tuesday (Feb. 3, 2004) at her residence in Lebanon. Born in Somerville and formerly of Raritan Township, she moved to Lebanon Township eight years ago. Regina was a school-bus driver for more than 12 years, employed by Barker Bus in Bridge-water and Polt Bus Co. in Glen Gardner.

Regina took special care helping the handicapped children she drove to school. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her husband, John two daughters, Maria and Natalie, and a son, Jon Chambres; seven siblings, Louise Vaughn, Rose Hinson, James Margaret, Chris, Lawrence and William Mingle. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bruce C.

VanArsdale Funeral Home, 101 N. Gaston Somerville. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewa-ter. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m.

Walker, 80, died Sunday (Feb. 1, 2004) at Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home in Green Brook.

Howard was born in the Finderne section of Bridgewater Township and was a former resident of Bound Brook before moving to South Plainfield 55 years ago. Howard was the manager of the former Evona Tavern in Pis-cataway for 10 years. He then owned and operated Walkers Tavern in Middlesex for lOyears. He then worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in West-field as an insurance agent for 1 5 years before retiring in 1986.

He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield. Howard served his country in World War II as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the VFW Memorial Post 6763 in South Plainfield. He was a member of the South Plainfield Lions Club and served as president in 1964 to 1965.

He was a former member of the South Plainfield Police Reserves and the South Plainfield B.P.O. Elks 2298. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frieda Gassier Walker; his daughter, Karen and her husband, John Torsky, of Louisville, his son, Barry and his wife, Debbie Walker, of Ft. Lauderdale, his sister. Marge Rose of Bound Brook; his brother, Richard Walker of Middlesex; his grandsons, John Torsky III, Christopher Torsky and Todd Walker; his granddaughter, Michelle Walker Lewis; and his great-granddaughter, Danielle.

Funeral services will begin 9 a.m. Thursday from the James W. Conroy Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield South Plainfield, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.

31, 2004) at her home. She was 86 years old. Mrs. Speakman was born in Plainfield, the daughter of Leonard F. and Gertrude Terring-ton Bennett, and had resided in North Plainfield for the past 33 years.

Mrs. Speakman was a graduate of the Plainfield school system. While in high school, she started her career as a part-time secretary with the Richard T. Bueschel Insurance Agency in Plainfield, where she remained for 53 years and retired in 1988 as an account executive. She was a member of the Audubon Society of New Jersey and the Sierra Club.

Mrs. Speakman was predeceased by her husband, Lewis J. Speakman, in 1994; and her sister, Gladys B. Parretti. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Kathryn Hoven of Rome, and Joann Kohler of Asbury.

She is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and several cousins. Funeral services will be noon today at the Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Fan-wood. Internment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until noon today at the funeral home.

Patrick David Redrup died Friday (Jan. 30, 2004) at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Wash.

Patrick was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Dunellen. He moved to the Pacific Northwest 40 years ago and he resided in Spokane, for the past 14 years. He worked as a machinist for most of his life. At the time of his death, he worked for Cardinal Health.

He was predeceased by a brother, William, and is survived by Deena, his wife of seven months; three children by a previous marriage, Kirk, Eric and Kim Gelberman; six brothers, Robert, Thomas, Clarence, Michael, James and Donald and two sisters, Ann Kielblock and Shirley Myers. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard of Clairvaux, Plainfield. Georgia Kopsco, 77, beloved wife, mother EASTON, Pa.

Georgia Kopsco, 77, entered eternal rest peacefully on Monday (Feb. 2, 2004) at Easton Nursing Center, Easton, Pa. Born in Los Angeles, daughter of the late George and Kathleen Lewis, she grew up in the western part of the states. Georgia taught CCD for Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in South Bound Brook for many years. She belonged to the International Club through Rutgers University, which she attended regularly, was a committed den mother for Troop 42 in South Bound Brook and had instructed cake decorating at Somerset County College (Raritan Valley Community College) Georgia was predeceased by her beloved son, Lawrence Kopsco.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 59 years, Barney Kopsco; her loving children, a daughter, Carol DeBlass of Easton, three sons, Louis of Somerset, Robert of Princeton and John of East Brunswick; 10 cherished grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren. Funeral services will begin at 11a.m. Friday at Fucillo Warren Funeral Home, 205 S. Main Manville, followed by a noon funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in South Bound Brook. Georgia will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone.

Otis James Clark formerly of Plainfield PELHAM, Ga. Otis James Clark Jr. departed this life on Jan. 22, 2004, at the Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla, Ga. Otis was formerly employed by Chanel and Union Carbide in Piscataway.

He also owned Clarks Record Shop in Plainfield. He was a member of the Cotton Bloom Masonic Lodge No. 135 and "Men in Action Group" in Pelham, Ga. His parents, Otis James Clark Sr. and Essie Lee Atkins Clark, and one daughter, Sabrina Renae Clark, predeceased him.

He leaves to mourn his precious memory his wife, Lois Clark of Pelham, four daughters, Kimberly Clark of North Plainfield, Danyall and Sabrina Rudy Clark of Pelham, Avery Hampton of Camilla, a son, Dashaun Jamil Goines of Plainfield; two stepchildren, Andrew Hunter of Camilla, and Kimberly New-some of Ft. Born in West Virginia, Salvatore lived in Newark and Bloom-field prior to settling to Scotch Plains in 1989. Mr.

Barletta was a bottler for 35 years with P. Ballantine Sons Brewery in Newark. He retired in 1981 after five years of service with Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery, also of Newark. Salvatore was the beloved husband of the late Elvira (2003); loving father of Salvatore and Patrick and Rochelle Torella; brother of Joel Barletta; cherished grandfather of Melissa Barletta-Dettling, Nicole and Noelle Torella, Vincent and Stephen Barletta; great-grandfather of Mylan and Arden Dettling and loving brother of the late Sarah Bianco, Vito and Frank Barletta.
