They've been well received in Brevard and many of us will be sorry to see them go. The Five Chords, a handsome group who've played the beach before, will open there Monday. HAS ANOTHER GaGO room bit the dust? Dragon-a-go-go, located in the Eden House, Cocoa Beach was dark and deserted Tuesday night and the marquee was blank. An inquiry revealed only that it is closed for the time being. No information as to whether or when it will reopen.

Mrs, lhianeon Hosts Circle ROCK LEDGE The Rockledge Methodijst Church WSCS held thL-ir monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Eugene Buaneon Tuesday evening. Theme of the program was "The Birth of Christ in Scripture and which was presented by Mrs Ned Kellar, Mrs. Eugene Branson, Mrs. Ricji-ard Davis and Mrs.

Jack Alborn, who sang two solos. At the close of the program, Mrs, Patterspn played "Sanctus" while members of the WSCS put canned goods into a gift box for a needy family. STOP WISHING! They're going to Lakeland but you can expect to see them again in early spring.

Incidentally, the Cape Colony is taking reservations now for New Year's Eve. There will be' a per person cover charge which will include the show and a midnight buffet. hju rl sians opened Tuesday night at the Samoa Restaurant Lounge, Cocoa Beach. The Polynesians, Ke Kai, Saimana and Carl Kalani present an entertaining show that blends with the Samoa atmosphere beautifully. Lovely Ke Kai (the name means "Graceful does Tahitian and Hawaiian dances to the able musical accompaniment of Kalani.

She has an elaborate costume for each dance and the overall effect is pleasant. Saimana, a native of Samoa, does a fascinating knife and fire dance that is lively and entertaining but never frenzied or overly dramatic. Kalani croons songs of the Islands in excellent style, and is a good showman in his own right. Gene Tuck's vocals and musical accompaniment provide just the right amount of deviation from Polynesian to hold one's interest. He is, in effect, a one-man playing a guitar, pedal bass and harmonica all at once.

He sings all the old standards, including pop tunes, calypso and folk songs. A seasoned performer with gobs of talent, he sailed through his first set on opening night in grand style. The Samoa can point to this group with pride. This time, they've booked a winner! WE'RE DELIGHTED to report that Scotch 'n' Sirloin management has, dispensed with the jilly-willy stuff and booked a swinging combo for the patrons' dining and dancing pleasure. Chris Fio Rito and the Corvairs combine trumpet, sax, drums and organ and come up with some lively sounds.

Their repertoire is extensive and ranges from ridiculous to sublime. We heard the Beatles' latest nausea "Yesterday," an excellent selection of Tiajuana Brass numbers includ-ng "A Taste of Honey" and "The Lonely a vocal rendition of "I'm Just a Gigolo" and "Red Roses for a Blue Lady." Fio Rito blows a mean trumpet, has fair pipes and plenty of personality. In summary, the group is by far the best the has offered in many moons, and we liked them! We also noted that two of the go-go cages have been removed, and while we were there, we didn't even see a go-go dancer. NEW YEAR'S EVE celebration will begin at the Samoa at about 8 p.m. The $6.50 per person cover charge will include the show and Hawaiian luau buffet.
