Tournaments Set '• : • ' 1 For County Teams Franklin County high school basketball teams will play in district tournaments next week at Richmond, Lebo and Louisburg. Lane and Richmond will be in the Class BB tournament at Richmond Feb. 26, 27, March 1. Pomona and Williamsburg will be in the Class B tournament at Lebo Feb. 26, 28, March 1. Princeton and Wellsville will be in the Louisburg Class B tournament Feb. 26, 28 March 2. Top-seeded teams in the tournaments are Melvern at Richmond, Osage City at Lebo and Spring Hill at Louisburg. Melvern is the Osage County League winner. Spring Hill placed second in the Little Seven League. Richmond will play Westphalia and Lane, Welda, in opening games at Richmond. Princeton faces Gardner, and Wellsville, Louisburg, at Louisburg. Pomona meets Olpe, and Williamsburg, Lyndon, at Lebo, Here are the schedules. Kansas Model Of Enforcement OKLAHOMA CITY (AP)-The Oklahoma House of Representatives passed a resolution Wednesday to send a five-member committee to Kansas to study enforcement of liquor laws. Nebraska Cage Coach Resigns LINCOLN, Neb. (AP)-Jerry Bush, basketball coach at the University of Nebraska since the 1954-55 season, has resigned, effective July 1. In a statement Wednesday, Bush said he had considered resigning for some time and felt, "for the good of all concerned, this should be done at this time." He said he had no definite plans. Athletic Director Tippy Dye said a search would begin immediately for a successor. Bush came to Nebraska after a successful career at Toledo University. He has never had a winning record in nine seasons with the Cornhuskers. This season his team is 0-9 in the Big Eight Conference and 5-15 overall. His Nebraska record to date is 81-127. Marquette Gets NIT Invitation NEW YORK (AP)-Marquette, the team which just missed—92-9C —handing Chicago Loyola its first defeat of the season on Feb. 12 will play in the National Invitational Basketball Tournament here next month. The Warriors from Milwaukee accepted a bid Wednesday to the NIT, which opens at Madison Square Garden March 14.
