11:10 P.m. Cinema Thealer, "Hie Lady and Tha Bandit." By DIANA BROOKS WWBC is a "Town and Country" music station. This does not mean hillbilly or blue-grass music, but the modern country and western recordings by artists such as Marty Robbins, Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, Ray Price and Roger Miller. Selections are based on the "Nashville Hit Sound" and range from the "pop" Nashville sound by such artists as Al Martino, Jerry Vale, Brenda Lee to the established country artists like George Jones, Connie Smith and Ernie Tubbs. Stan Anderson, operations manager and chief engineer, of WWBC tells us that the principal objective of this station is to provide a high quality, well balanced program schedule designed to meet the needs of the community and the audience it serves.

Public service programming is a very important part of this schedule. Stan did all of the design and construction of WWBC and since the beginning of operations has been responsible for the maintenance and technical operation of the station. HE BEGAN his broadcast career in Dade City, as a disc jockey. In Delaware, Ohio he built his first radio station and eventually moved up to assistant manager. In Hamilton, Ohio he built the first full time stereo station in the Ohio Valley, he chiefed this station in addition to a full-t i announcing shift.

From there he moved to WRKT on Cocoa Beach as chief engineer and announcer and stayed there until WWBC was ready to begin construction. Stan is married to a Tampa girl and they have five children. Originally from Detroit, Mich, he has been a resident of Brevard County for four years. The program director of WWBC is 25-year-old Dave Diamond. Dave was born in Asbury Park, N.J.

and received his education in radio at the Dan Martin radio and TV School. After high school he served at KDAY in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a disc jockey and production director of this station and also on KBLA radio in Burbank, Calif. In 1965 he came to Wauchulla and worked on station WAUC before joining WWBC. TOM SHAW and Ray Hegwood are two announcers for this station.
