Paid Political upplnrnt 111 ORLANDO RESIDENT 33 YEARS Sanderlin Story One Of Self-Made Businessman Acting-Mayor Wolly Sanderlin, who has been a member of the Orlando City Council since 1954 and a resident of Orlando for the past 33 years, is a successful businessman in his own right. He received his elementary and high school education in Orlando schools. Sanderlin spent three years in service in the Navy before attending The Citadel. His college education was cut short when his father, a grocer, suffered a heart attack. Wally then returned to Orlando and operated his father's grocery.

He later turned to the insurance business and then engaged in the real estate and building business. Sanderlin is a director of Goodwill Industries and also is a member of the Board of Directors of Colonial Bank of Orlando. He is a director of the Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce and the Mid-Florida Home Builders Association. He is a Mason and Shriner and a past president of the Meninak Club. He also is a member of the VFW." In 1960 Sanderlin was the recipient of the Jaycees' Distinguished Service Award.
