Cornelious Shepherd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam herd, Davenport, is a i i atine in three weeks of annual summer a i ning at Grafenwohr, Germany, ending Aug. 10. Shepherd is receiving extensive training and testing in rifle squad tactics; chemical, biological and radiological warfare; and the use of flame throwers and hand grenades.

He is a rifleman in Company 1st Battalion of the 4th Armored Division's 51st Infantry reg-uarly stationed near New Ulm, Germany. THE 22-YEAR-OLD soldier entered the Army in December 1963 and was stationed at Fort Jackson, S. before arriving overseas last May. Shepherd was graduated in 19(i0 from Oakland High School in Haines City, and in 1962 from Voorhees Junior College in Denmark, S. C.

Before entering trie Army, he was employed by Association Alcoma, Lake Wales. Robbery Suspect To lie Extradited KISSIMMEE An Osceola County Sheriff's deputy is en route today to Greenscastle, Ind. to pick up a man wanted by local officials on charges of unarmed robbery and breaking and entering. Law officers in Green-castle are holding Curtis J. Beculhimer on an order issued by Sheriff Bob Buck-els.

Beculhimer is charged with entering the Coca Cola Bottling Co. plant here about seven months ago. He is also charged with robbing a Kayo Service Station on the same date. John H. In Korea Completed LAKELAND Army PFC Reginald D. Wills, sons of Mrs. Olive C. Wills, 714 E.

Bay Lakeland, and other members of the 7th Infantry Division, participated in exercise Ridge Runner, a field training exercise held in Korea, ending July 10. DURING THE exercise Wills underwent extensive training in mountain fighting and in all types of tatical maneuvers. The 19-year-old soldier, an automatic rifleman in Company 2d Battalion in the divison's 31st Infantry, entered the Army in May 1963. He completed basic training at Fort Gordon, and arrived overseas in November 1963. Wills attended Lakeland High School.

Gonzales' On Maneuvers I TER HAVEN Army Specialist Five Louis J. Gonzales, son of Mrs. Florence S. Gunn, 1421 Seventh SW, Winter Haven, is participating in three weeks of annual summer training at Grafen-wohr, Germany, ending Aug. 1.

Martin Galstad will be installed today as new pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Inn-wood, Winter Haven.

Installation services will take place at 10:15 a.m. and will be performed by the Rev. Richard Kuehne, retiring pastor. Rev. Galstad comes to inter Haven after 20 years of teaching at several private colleges, recently at Immanuel Lutheran College, Eau Claire, Wi, where he was head of the education department.

Jack Magnum asked the county commission yesterday to cons ider authorizing the purchase of a new piece of equipment. The attachment, a "bucket" rig, would enable county crews to clean out drainage canals and ditches without having to disturb trees along the bank. Permission to remove trees is difficult and sometimes impossible to get, the commissioners were told. The rig would cost $788, Magnum said. The commission expressed a desire to obtain more technical information on the equipment before taking action.
