Heading the cast is James Stewart, who was an Academy Award nominee for his role in this picture. THE FUGITIVE KIND opens at these theaters on Wednesday. Floyd prominently participated. Co-starred are Joan Harvey and Carl York. CAREER GIRL, starring June Wilk-inson, opens Wednesday at the Astor. It's all about a sexy blonde from England who comes here to crash Hollywood, U.S.A., what she has to do to become a star, and how she finds fun and relaxation with other starlets in a sun-bathing colony.

The film is in color. ANATOMY OF A MURDER open in the title, role of the Carthaginian general, with Rita Gam as Hannibal's love and Gabriele Fercetti as the Roman consul. Hannibal's violent battles with the Romans, his prodigious crossing of the Alps with elephant-borne troops and his ill-starred love for the niec3 of his principal Roman enemy are told in the motion picture, Hannibal, opening today at the Beacham for a four-day run. Filmed in Italy and Yugoslavia in color, Hannibal stars Victor Mature dangerous enterprise to find her missing father and fiancee, pushes his survey through unexplored bush country infested with man-eating lions, killer rhinoceros and marauding savage tribes. Killers was filmed on location in Elaine Edivards Takes Beating Tanganyika, in the area of the scorched bush country and the famous Kilimanjaro mountain range. Mombassa, the former slave-trading port, was also used for some of the film's sequences. ANOTHER IN THE LINE of films depicting the life of famous gangsters is Pretty Boy Floyd, starring John Ericson in the title role, and opening today at the Astor Pretty Boy Floyd is 'the story of one of the nation's most feared and ruthless killers, Charles Arthur Floyd, who because of his attractiveness to women, was called "Pretty He was the first to rob two banks in one day and for many months he evaded the most intensive search by police, FBI and local authorities until he was finally tracked down and shot on a farm in Ohio.

The short and bloody career of this "public enemy" culminates in the infamous Kansas City Massacre, in which On one picture, the casting office made a mistake on a stunt girl double. "When it came time to shoot the scene where I'm thrown through a plate glass window the double showed up with brown hair. There was nothing else 'to do but for me to go through the window. It wasn't too bad." Fortunately, plate glass windows for movies are made of a clear candy-like concoction, not real glass. HOLLYWOOD Elaine Edwards, a real beauty, can't figure what movie heroes and villains have against her.

She's sort of Expendable Elaine on most of her pictures. In The Purple Gang, Inside the Mafia and Guns, Gals and Gangsters, she has been mauled, slugged and received an authentic black eye. Her beauty is on the blonde, delicate side but as she says: "I'm pretty durable, else I would have been beaten out of this business long ago."
