Levin, 93, dies; ran a home grocery store Services for Mrs. Goldie Levin, who came here from Russia and operated a home grocery store on Gough street for many years, will be held at noon today at the Levinson funeral establishment, 6010 Reisterstown road. Philip Brown, was in Battle of the Bulge Funeral services for Philip R. Brown, who had been associated with his father, John G. Brown, in operating the Stone Grocery store at Falls and Shawan roads, will be held at 10 A.M.

tomorrow at the Valley, Presbyterian Church, West Joppa road at Beltway exit 23. Mr. Brown died Thursday at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center after a long illness. He was 52 and lived in Towson. In recent years, since his father sold the grocery business, known as the Shawan Store, Mr.

Brown had worked as a salesman at Hutzler's in Towson. Born and brought up in the Worthington Valley, he enlisted in the armed forces in World War II after his graduation from Franklin High School. As a glider trooper with the 17th Airborne Division, he participated in major European campaigns, including the Battle of the Bulge and the crossing of the Rhine River, often landing enemy lines. After his discharge, he joined his father in business. Interested in veterans' affairs, Mr.

Brown was president last year of the 17th Airborne Division Association, and he had also been active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving, besides, his father, are his wife of 13 former Jane M. Emerick, two nieces and two nephews. Schetrompf, motorcycle buff Odenton (Special) -Raymond Glenn Schetrompf, whose hobby was motorcycles, died Friday at the Anne Arundel General Hospital. His family said that he had not been well since a motorcycle accident about three months ago.

Funeral arrangements for Mr. Schetrompf, who was 32 and had lived here since childhood, were incomplete. Born in Fulton county, he moved to Odenton with his family when he was 7 years old. He attended public school in Gambrills, and was in the roofing business at the time of his death. Mr.

Schetrompf devoted his spare time to motorcycles. With his older brother, Jack, he followed motorcycle racing from Florida to New York and west to Ohio. Mr. Schetrompf was divorced from his wife, Evelyn. Surviving are a son, William Carl Schetrompf, and a daughter, Kelly Jean Schetrompf, of Laurel; his mother Mrs.

Ella Blanche Schetrompf, of Odenton; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan, of Huntington, Mrs. June Lewis, of Wilmington, and Mrs. Hilda Fraley, of New Jersey; and five brothers, Jack and Robert Schetrompf, of Odenton; Carl and John Schetrompf, Salt Lake City, and Lester Schetrompf, of Wilmington. Mrs.

Levin, who was 93, died Friday at Sinai Hospital. She had been in declining health for a number of years. Born in a Russian village, Goldie Linden at the age of 16 was sent to Baltimore by her parents for an arranged marriage with her cousin, Samuel Levin, a tailor. She lived here almost all the rest of her life, mostly in East Baltimore. Mrs.

Levin operated a small grocery store in the front section of her home at 1616 Gough street until about 10 years ago, when declining health forced her to give it up. She had lived in a nursing home in recent years. Mr. and Mrs. Levin, who were married for more than 50 years, brought up 6 children.

Their only surviving child is Mrs. Esther Norwitz, of Baltimore. Mr. Levin died about 25 years ago. Surviving, in addition to Mrs.

Norwitz, are 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Anne Randle services set Altadena, Calif. (Special) -Anne Dexter Randle, formerly of Baltimore and a graduate of Western Maryland College in Westminster, died here Friday after a long illness. Memorial services for Mrs. Randle, who was 55, will be held at the United Methodist Church of Pasadena at 10 A.M.

Tuesday. She and her husband, Ernest E. Randle, left Baltimore about 20 years ago. In Altadena, Mrs. Randle was vice president of a real estate firm and a of a number of organizations.

Born in Baltimore, Mrs. Randle received her early education in the public schools here and was graduated from Western High School. Surviving her, besides her husband, are three sons; Robert E. Randle, of Altadena; Neill D. Randle, of Ventura, and Steven L.

Randle, of Healdsburg, a brother, George Dexter, of Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Tompkins, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Ellen Mariner, of Pittsford, N.Y., and two grandsons. Persons wishing to do so are asked to make a memorial contribution to Western Maryland College. Rudolph Kubin, baker, 71 Services for Rudolph Kubin, a baker well known in Northeast Baltimore for his Bohemian rye bread, will be held at 9 A.M.

tomorrow. at the Bruzdzinski funeral establishment, 1407 Old Eastern avenue, Essex. Mr. Kubin died of cancer at his home Friday after being ill since October. He was 71 and lived at 323 St.

George's road, Essex. Of Bohemian ancestry, Mr. Kubin was born in Baltimore and educated in the public schools here. He operated Kubin's Bakery at 2622 East Madison street until his retirement in 1970. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Kowalevicz; a son, Rudolph Charles Kubin, of Baltimore, and four grandchildren.

Services for robbery victim, Milton R. Ellis, are today Walterboro, S.C. (Special) -Services for Milton R. Ellis, owner of the Ellis Sheet Metal Works in Marlow Heights, who was fatally wounded in a robbery early Friday, will be held at 5.30 P.M. today at the Fred Parker funeral establishment here.

Mr. Ellis was shot by one of two men who robbed him and a woman companion in the parking lot of a restaurant in Suitland, according to Prince Georges county police. He was pronounced dead on Hospital in Cheverly. Born in Colleton county, S.C., 53 years ago, he had been a resident of Oxon Hill, for about 35 years. Before that, he had He lived was in Baltimore member and of the other a United Methodist Church.

Mr. Ellis was married to Connie G. Smith, of Hagerstown, who died May 16. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Patty Addison Ellis Spell, of Walterboro; a brother, Herschel W.

Schmidt, 88 New London, Conn. (AP) -Mott B. Schmidt, 88, a New York architect who designed homes for many wealthy families, has died in a New London hospital. Mr. Schmidt, a resident of Katonah, N.Y., designed homes for the Rockefellers, the Vanderbilts, the Astors and the Fords.

Mr. Schmidt, who died Friday, is survived by his wife. IV. L. Hancock, public relations manager Services for Norman E.

Hancock moved with his family to Delmar, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, as a boy. After his graduation from the Delmar high school, he went to work for Procter Gamble in Portsmouth. He was transferred to Baltimore in 1958 as manager of the mechanics in the plant. Later he became industrial engineer in the warehouse, with responsibility for the preparation of such materials as efficiency studies and cost analyses. He was named manager of public relations for the plant about six years ago.

Surviving Mr. Hancock are his wife of 36 years, the former Eugenia A. Venables: two sons, Norman E. Hancock, of Delmar, and James W. Hancock, of Salt Lake City; a sister, Mrs.

Ruth Laughon, of Moyack, N.C.; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
