lii vV lp BELATEDLY. I THINK IT APPROPRIATE to By SANDRA HINSON If that Elizabeth Montgomery isn't the cutest house-haunting, broom riding, caldron-stirring witch you've ever seen, I'll eat your A PREMIERE! SUNDAY There are WAVES of laughter when four female mechanics are sent to an island with 4000 sailors! Kathy Nolan stars in BROADSIDE 8:30 PM ON CH. 9 like in this world. Dick York, as husband Darrin, has the perfect eyebrows to lift at Samantha's goings on. And he has a cute wink, too.

And, through her appearance last night, it's easy to see that mother-in-law witch (Agnes Moore-head) is going to stir up her share of the pot-boiling humor. If ABC's "Bewitched" keeps up the lively pace it established last night, it should go over big this season. "PEYTON PLACE" (ABC) made a strong bid to hook its viewers in its second installment. It outlined the problems and sins of two of the female leads in no uncertain terms and set the innocent Allison MacKenzie (Mia Farrow) on her quest for "experience." It seems somewhat stronger than the average daytime soap operas that I've glimpsed from time to time. "Donna Reed" began her seventh season on ABC last night with a new hairdo and a son (played by Paul Peterson), who is almost grown up.

This domestic series maintains its record for a good happy ending after a small problem is met and resolved. I like it. hat! Elizabeth, as Samantha, the broom rider, is fresh and lovely to look at. And isn't she cute when she wrinkles her nose or whatever she does to work her magic? Personally, I'm going to enjoy just looking at her (even though it's only in envy). If she continues to practice her black magic on such worthy subjects as 1J commend cur local stations for their efforts during Hurricane Dora.

Of course, we in the storm area depended largely on our radios for minute-to-minute news of what was open and who went to work, but the television stations were equally busy feeding news to the national networks. Channel 2 led the pack with 16 live feeds to NBC News with a round-the-clock news staff led by Bill Mitchell and Charles Carter, news directors for the Orlando and Daytona Beach stations, respectively, and John Armstrong. Three feeds went direct to Huntley-Brinkley, three to the 11 p.m. news and the bulk of the remainder went to the 'Today" program. Channel 9 shared its transmitting line to New York with Channel 6 here for additional feeds to the ABC and CBS network news programs.

Kurt Voss, news director, Jim Porter and Dave Hill made up the Ch. 9 news team and Hartwell Conklin, news director, Ben Aycrigg, Charlie Grecco and Ken Krato put together the Ch. 6 news tapes. All the stations voted thanks to the Air Photographic ard Charting Service 1365th Photographic Squadron which developed the negative films of rocket dismantling at Cape Kennedy on that first hectic day. They had the only equipment in town capable of converting the negatives into usable film in time for the pool feed that evening.

That's because he had 10 shows completed by the premiere date, and the entire cast had a two-week vacation.

"Slow-moving Bing really turned into Mr. Zip in order to get far enough ahead to let him relax," Scout said. "BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" AND "PETTICOAT JUNCTION" will both introduce something new into their shows this season, according to TV Scout. For plot purposes, Orlando's Buddy Ebsen, as Jed Clampett, will purchase a movie studio it should allow him to introduce some glamorous guest stars. "Petticoat Junction" is going to get the audience involved early in the season by adopting a mongrel dog.
