Donya Fiorentino filed for divorce Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences. The couple separated the same day. They have two children together, ages 2 and 3, and Oldman has a son fi-om a previous marriage to actress Lesley Manville. Oldman also was married to actress Uma Thurman for two years, but they divorced in 1992. The 43-year-old actor recently appeared in the movie thriller "Hannibal" and in the political drama "The Contender." Reichman issued a temporary restraining order on March 27 barring Agostino P'o- mato from being within 100 yards of the 43-year-old actress; STONE her husband, San Francisco Chronicle executive editor Phil Bronstein; or their infant son. A hearing on a permanent restraining order scheduled for Tuesday was canceled because P'omato's family took him back to Italy, said Stone's attorney, Robert Chapman. Fastiion iabei doesn't suit Sevigny NEW YORK — Chloe Sevigny, a best-supporting actress Oscar nominee for 1999's "Boys Don't Cry," doesn't want to be known as a fashion icon. "I love acting, and I love cinema more than anything. For some reason, the public has embraced me as a fashion icon, and I feel like it has diminished me as an actress. Or I don't get as much recognition as an actress — and that upsets me," she tells Harper's Bazaar magazine in its SEVIGNY May issue. Sevigny, 26, is on the magazine's cover wearing a white pleated blouse, dark silk skirt, belt, gloves and hat by Chanel Haute Couture. Although she wore a designer dress to last year's Oscars, Sevigny says she shops exclusively in thrift stores, as she has since seventh grade. Child now feels sorry for inattentive father Dear Ann Landers: When I read the letter from "Sad in Memphis," I thought I was reading about my own life. She said her ex-husband took no in- ^ terest in his wonderful son. My father was the same way Dad's new wife didn't want me around because she wanted ALL of his affection, and she considered me to be competition. Your response was right on target, Ann. He was the loser, not me. My mother worked three jobs to put me through college. I had a very kind and attentive stepfather, as well as wonderful uncles and male friends of the family AU those male figures made a huge difference in my life. More importantly, I treasure my mother for raising me so well and so selflessly ANN LANDERS Creators Syndicate Inc. • I stopped all contact with my father when he refused to come to my high school graduation and hated him for the next 15 years. Eventually, the hate turned into apathy It was only when he had a heart attack a few years ago that we established a relationship. Although we get along well now, I do not love him. I feel sorry for him. Perhaps someday that will change, but it can never make up for all the time we lost. Please teU "Sad" that her son will be OK. She needs to forget about her ex-husband and his lack of interest in the boy If she spends too much time focusing on what is missing in her son's life, it will only fill him with unhappiness and a desperate longing for something he cannot have. The so-called father will regret his absence in the long-run. Others can fill the gap left by this selfish man. I know, because it happened to me. — Alive and WeU in San Francisco Dear San Francisco: I hope your mother sees this column. You should have it laminated and give it to her. She is the real heroine in this story The same can be said of many other divorced men and women who raise their children without the help of an ex-spouse. And bless the grandparents, uncles, aunts and family friends who pitch in. They all deserve a standing ovation and a loud round of applause. Dear Ann Landers: A few years ago, you ran something in your column that I thought was the perfect blueprint for living. I had it laminated and carried it in my wallet. I lost my wallet last week (or maybe somebody lifted it). I could care less about the money What I want more than anything is that column. It was palled "Golden Rules for Living." How about printing it again? — Ed in Las Ve-' gas Dear Ed: Those "rules" have been printed in my column many times. Here they are again — with pleasure: Golden Rules for Living by Miriam Hamilton Keare 1. If you open it, close it. 2. If you turn it on, turn it off. 3. If you unlock it, lock it up. 4. If you break it, admit it. 5. If you can't fix it, call in someone who can. 1! 6. If you borrow it, return it. 7. If you value it, take care of it. |J 8. If you make a mess, clean it up. " 9. If you move it, put it back. 10. If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it. 11. If you don't know how to operate it, leave it alone. 12. If it's none of your business, don't ask questions. And now, dear readers, this is Ann again. Aren't those .great guidelines for a happy and rewarding life? Write to Ann Landers at P.O.
