Nearly nine years later, an "age-progressed" picture of him is being released nationwide to help find him. The picture, which shows Aaron as a toddler and as he might look now at age 10, is featured this week on ADVO Inc. and affiliated direct mail cards distributed to households nationwide. Nearly 930,000 are distributed in Minnesota alone. Aaron was last seen April 7, 1989, playing in his yard, which bordered the Snake River.

"We don't know whether he fell into the river or if he was abducted, but we are investigating both possibilities," said Pine County Chief Deputy Sheriff Jerry Wedell. The "Have you seen me?" cards include a description of Aaron, along with the toll-free number for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. ADVO said it is distributing the information as a public service. Aaron's parents, Steve and Paulette Anderson, now live in St. Paul.

Deputy justified in fatal shooting of man BUFFALO (AP) A grand jury found that a sheriff's deputy was justified when he shot and killed a man who tried to grab the deputy's gun following a two-county police chase. The Oct. 21 chase began when Hennepin County Deputy Gary Johnson tried to pull over Gerald Lehn, 30, for a routine traffic stop near Rogers west of the Twin Cities. After his car crashed, Lehn fled on foot in Wright County and scuffled with Johnson, who fired in self defense, police said. Lehn, of St.

Michael, died later. Hennepin County Sheriff Patrick McGowan said Tuesday that the Wright County grand jury's decision was an "affirmation of Deputy Johnson's professionalism under the most difficult of conditions." Johnson has returned to duty as a patrol officer. Genetic tests of felons unveiled by FBI CHICAGO (AP) The genetic profiles of 75,000 convicted felons are now stored in a national registry newly unveiled by the FBI. Currently being tested in Minnesota and seven other states, the National DNA Index System (NDIS) is designed to catch sex offenders and other felons by matching their genetic profiles to DNA found at crime scenes. Law enforcement officials said Tuesday the new registry represents a step beyond the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), which already operates in 36 states.

Since its startup in 1990, CODIS has helped to link 200 offenders to crimes, authorities said. JUST WHO IS PRE-PLANNING? Who is pre the funeral arrangements for themselves and their loved ones? Some of the answers may surprise you.

Thoughtful people are pre-planning people like you who care about their family's peace of mind and know that preplanning will save them the burden of arranging funeral services. Prudent people are pre-planning people who are concerned about rising costs; who want to make sure their dollars go the furthest in providing quality services for their loved ones. People with ideas are pre-planning ideas about how they want to be remembered, or what elements are important in the kind of services they want. Our funerals are custom-tailored for individuals; many people find it satisfying to reflect on their own lives and contribute to this planning. Business like people are pre-planning people who are doing a good job of managing their personal affairs and know it makes sense to plan for life's end as it does for any major life event, from buying a house to arranging a wedding.

Smart people are pre-planning people who know what they want, and know that their wishes will be recorded and carried out to the letter when the time comes. All kinds of people like you are preplanning. Why not join them? just call to make and appointment. There is no obligation, of course. But, person to person, we think you will be glad you did.
