She entered St. Mary's Priory, Victoria, British Columbia, in 1947, and professed her first vows on Jan. 6, 1949, and final vows on July 2, 1953. She transferred to St. Benedict's Monastery in 1963.

She worked at various jobs at schools or convents in White Earth, Elrosa, Urbank, Buckman, Long Prairie, as well as St. Benedict's. She retired to St Scholastica Convent in 1992. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Arlene Furnstahl of Little Falls; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son, Robert; brothers, Bill and Ronald; and sisters, Mame Nauertz and Lena. Erma Cgughtry ST. CLOUD OCT. 9, 1899, DEC. 9, 1997 Services will be 2 p.m.
