Devoney favor change in loop financial setup LINCOLN, Neb. (UPI) University of Nebraska- Uncoln Athletic Director Bob Devaney says the Big Eight Conference should consider changing the way it distributes the league's in- come. But Devaney said, "So far we've gotten a negative reac-. lion" to the idea of changing the distribution formula for such things as bowl games and television appearances. Devaney told the NU Board of Regents Saturday that the league rejected several redistribution formulas that he offered last week when the conference leaders met in Lawrence, Kan.

"There are too many people sharing our profits," Devaney said. Oklahoma University was the only school that supported Nebraska on any of the redistribution proposals, De- vaney said. Suggestion is worth $925 to Spec. Gabriel FT. RILEY, Specialist Five Leonard J.

Gabriel, son of Mrs. Alice Gabriel, Fullerton, received a cash award of $925 for an adopted suggestion at Ft. Riley, Kan Spec. Gabriel's suggestion resulted in a change in maintenance procedures on the radio set used in military aircraft. This change saved the Federal Government over $47,000.

Spec. Gabriel is a signal maintenance specialist with the 337th J.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command Company at Ft Riley. He entered the Army in May, 1971. Regents table stadium plan Nine Nebraskans traffic victims LINCOLN, Neb.

(UPI) The nearly 21,000 Nebraska football fans who pre-ordered 1978 season tickets from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in support of a proposed expansion of Memorial Stadium are out of luck. the NU Board of Regents Saturday voted 4-3 to table the stadium issue because UNL officials indicated it would be impossible to complete any expansion project by the 1978 season. The board also decided to destroy the checks that accompanied the ticket requests. Although the checks for 1978 tickets will be destroyed, the board directed UNL officials to log the ticket requests by date of receipt in case the same offer is made for the 1979 season. Several regents, however, opposed delaying the ex- pansion project because they said the board made a com- mitment to expand the seat stadium when it solicited ticket orders for the 1978 season.
