Christopher Jurgens of Raleigh, N.C., won the spirited competition Sunday over 13 other finalists in a test of speed and the amount of whitewashing accomplished. Jessie Palumbo of Lake Charles, was runner-up and Aaron Points of Peoria, 111., placed third.

The competition was for boys ages 10 to 13. A 12-year-old Hannibal girl, Amy Collier, upheld her home town in the frog-jumping competition, coaxing "Jumpin Jenosephat" to make three leaps totaling 9 feet, 9 inches.
