TheFBI denied reports it had positively identified Graiver as a passenger on the plane but told UPI it had "no information to indicate that Graiver was not in fact killed" in the accident. Two American pilots died in the crash of the Falcon, which was owned by Colonial Alliance Corp. in New York and operated by Hansa Jet Corp.

of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Their remains were shipped back to the United States by the U.S. Embassy in Mexico. Remains identified as Graiver's were cremated in Mexico on the instructions of his wife, TheManhattan District Attorney impaneled a special grand jury on March 7, 1977 to look the failure of American Bank Trust, which collapsed Sept.

W16, under the weight of unsecured loans to Graiver- relaledenterprises. An estimated $15 million was missing in fourth largest bank closing in U.S. history. And suddenly the word "homicide" is injected into the complicated tale of financial intrigue. The grand jury is "seeking to determine whether officers of that bank and others committed crimes including commercial bribery and bribe receiving, grand larceny, falsification of business records, offering a false instrument for filing, forgery, perjury, homicide solicitation and conspiracy," according to court papers.

Lidia Graiver recently filed a $20-million lawsuit against Hansa Jet Corp. and Colonial Alliance, claiming her husband a i died in the plane crash because of "negligence, carelessness and wrongful acts." The suit, also on behalf of her infant daughter, Maria Sol Graiver, asked for a jury trial. The U.S. company which carried the insurance on the Falcon jet has reopened its investigation of the crash to determine whether Graiver actually was on the plane. The Mexican government, which conducted the only official investigation of the crash, attributed the accident to pilot error.

The report did not name the passenger although it fully identified the captain and co-pilot. U.S. aviation officials never investigatedthe crash. Graiver's global machinations erupted into a political scandal in A i a this spring the i i a government charged he had laundered S17 million in extortion money for the outlawed Montonero guerrillas through his family's banks in the United States. Europe.

Israel and Argentina. Revelations that Graiver may have used ransom and prolec tion payments from the Mon- toneros to buy Century National Hank in New York in 1975 and to make a downpayment on American Bank Trust Co. stunned the New York financial establishment. "I would have had nothing cto wilh David if I had known he had any dealings wilh labor mediator and lawyer Theodore Kheel. "He retained me to advise him on getting established in N'ew York shortly after he moved herein May, 1075." By June Graiver was operating out of an office at American Bank Trust, which his falher agreed to buy later that year.

The young Argentine's success was spectacular. He became a director of UV Industries, formed a coal venture wilh energy tycoon Joseph Michaan and opened a holding company in the Pan Am building to develop projects America. 1 I SVIll UUL1UM in Latin Ai.
