Tbey Pursue and Overtake a Band of HMSB Thieves-- A Desperate Fight--Eight of i.o Gang Killed. WICHITA, April thieves have become so daring in Texas and Kansas, adjoining the Indian Territory, so unusually bold in their periodical raids, that have formed a vigilance committee for the pnrpoM of exterminating the thieves. Borne time ago, vigilantes aroisd with Winchesters, six shooters and lariats, started on the trail of marauders, and ten days ago they suddenly ran aoron the thieves in a deep ravine in the western part of the territory. The outlaws were In their blankets, bat not asleep. When the rode up the crest of the ravine, the thieves, who were in command of Bill Hisgins, alias ar-face," sprang their horseo, but In mounting one ot their number was shot dead.
