Dowling bounces to Canada TORONTO (AP) Brian Dowling, a quarterback who has bounced around professional football since graduating from Yale University in 1969, has signed a 1976 contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. Dowling set single-season records for Yale in 1968 with 19 touchdown passes, 1,554 yards passing and 1,867 yards total offense. There are 26 schools entered. Vin Reilly of St Joseph's, Metuchen, is favorite in the high jump and pole vault and will also compete in either the long jump or 60-yard high hurdles.

Other top St. Joe's entries include Pete O'Connell in the 300, Ian Johnston for his third straight win in the 600, Ivan Solero in the mile, Matt Kelsh in the 2-mile, and the mile relay squad. PAL mat team clinches title i BERKELEY HEIGHTS The Police Athletic League-sponsored boys' wrestling team here has compiled a 94 record and has clinched the Central Jersey PAL Wrestling League championship with a 6-0 mark. Coached by Van Grafas and Gerry Rielly, the club, comprised of boys in the sixth through eighth grades, has two undefeated wrestlers. They are 95-pounder Vince Bury, 9-0, with eight pins, and 105- to 112-pounder Pete Lakatos, also 9-0.
