Taylor, 71, died Friday (April 14, 1995) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center here. Born in Newark, she lived in Plain-field for 33 years. She was a quality inspector for Allen-Stevens Co. in Raritan for 20 years, retiring in 1991.

Her son, Howard P. Taylor, died in 1969. Surviving are her husband, Howard A. Taylor a daughter, June B. Taylor of Irvington; and a brother, Clarence Hunter of Irvington.

Services are Friday morning at Braun Funeral Home in Eatontown. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Richard F.

His wife, Rose Constandi Mignella, died earlier this year. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Tronco of North Plainfield; a sister, Mary Mignella of Bound Brook and two granddaughters. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Rossi Funeral Home, Scotch Plains, with a Mass at 10 a.m. at St.

Crews, co-owned dry cleaners SOMERVILLE Roberta H. Crews, 76, died Sunday (April 16, 1995) at Somerset Medical Center. Mrs. Crews was born in Somerville, where she lived all her life. She was co-owner of Square Cleaners on Main Street and worked in the business for 36 years, retiring in 1993.

Mrs. Crews attended Bennett College in Greensboro, N.C. She was a member of the Blue Belle at the college, and the National Council of Negro Women. Mrs. Crews attended St.

Thomas African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Somerville, where she belonged to the Altar Guild. Surviving are her husband, Robert B. Crews a son, Robert B. Jr. of Marina Del Ray, three daughters, Rosemary Crews of Somerville, Ruth Burgess of Plainfield, and Roberta Chang of Farmington, a brother, Abraham Hoffman of Plain-field; a sister, Mary H.

Williams of Martha's Vineyard, and seven grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church in Somerville.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are by Speer-Van Arsdale Funeral Home in Somerville. Joseph 'Gibby' Sabino, retired tool, die maker SOUTH PLAINFIELD Joseph "Gibby" Sabino, 73, died Saturday (April 15, 1995) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born and raised in Plainfield, Mr.

Sabino lived in South Plainfield for the past 23 years. He was a tool and die maker, retiring from Egan Machinery Co. in Somerville in 1975. Mr. Sabino was a member of St.

Bernard's Roman Catholic Church in Plainfield and he was an avid fisherman and gardener. Surviving are his wife, Mary Try-gar Sabino; two sons, George T. and James both of South Plainfield; three daughters, Joanne Levine of South Plainfield, Linda Sabino and Mary Petraglia, both of North Plain-field; two brothers, Matthew of Plain-field and Ralph of Vero Beach, five grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Scarpa Funeral Home in North Plainfield, followed by a 10 a.m.

Mass at St. Bernard's Church in Plainfield. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. This obituary is being reprinted to include today's visitation schedule.

Frederick C. Lilienthal, great-great grandfather Frederick C. Lilienthal, 92, a longtime Warren resident, died April 9, 1995. Mr. Lilienthal was born in Hoboken and had lived in Scotch Plains before moving to Warren in 1951.

He lived in Warren until he moved to Florida last year. Mr. Lilienthal enlisted in the New York Guard in 1917 and served in the First Field Artillery for two years. He worked for the International Secret Service, the Meecham Internal Detective Agency in New York City. He also worked in the public affairs department of former Hoboken Mayor Patrick Griffin and as a state game warden.

He worked for the Merchants Mutual Insurance Co. for 35 years before retiring in 1967. Surviving are his daughter, Lucille Hallard of Nokomis, a son, Alfred Lilienthal of Jacksonville, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains in June. Arrangements are by Rossi neral Home in Scotch Plains.

Dr. Robert Conway, professor, executive HILLSBOROUGH Dr. Robert Conway, 40, a medical publishing company executive and former Rutgers University professor, died Thursday (April 13, 1995) at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Newark, Dr. Conway lived in Piscataway, Union and Bergenfield before moving to Belle Mead in 1988.

He was the director of project programming for Excerpta Medica Inc. of Belle Mead, a medical publishing company. Dr. Conway joined the company a week ago. He was an assistant professor for several years at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School's department of surgery of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Conway received a doctorate in cardiovascular physiology from Rutgers University in 1982. He also held a master's degree from the same college and a bachelor's degree from Cook College. He was a member of Alpha Zeta Honor Fraternity. Surviving are his wife, Barbara F.

Conway; two daughters, Julie and Suzanne Conway; his mother, Adele Conway LaBarre; a brother, William Terrance bf Livingston; and his grandmother, Sophie Holic. Melise, born in Stirling Lucy A. Melise, 69, a homemaker who was formerly of Stirling, died Saturday (April 15, 1995) at Good Samaritan Center in Daytona Beach, Fla. Born in Stirling, she moved to Daytona Beach, in 1960. She was also a communicant of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Surviving are three brothers, Vincent Ruggerio of Millington, Norman Melise and Julius Melise, both of Stirling; three sisters, Mildred Felice and Antoinette Paulson, both of Daytona Beach, and Rose Saddington of Millington. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent dePaul Roman Catholic Church in Stirling. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m.

Born in Alexandria, she lived in New York for 18 years, before moving to East Orange. Surviving are two sons, Russell Brown of Plainfield and Donald of Pemberton; a daughter, Selma Avent of the Bronx, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Brown's Funeral Home in Plainfield. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday at the funeral home. Philip E.Weber, Bridgewater resident BRIDGEWATER Philip E. Weber, 79, died Sunday (April 16, 1995) at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Weber lived there and in Point Pleasant Beach before moving to Bridgewater a year ago.

He was a member of Carpenters Resilient Flooring Local 2212, Union. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church, Elizabeth. Surviving are his wife, Louanna Lyman Weber; a son, Philip of Albany, N.Y.; two daughters, Nancy Shannon of Martinsville and Susan Morrison of Largo, a sister, Helen Rielly of Manahawkin; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10:15 a.m.

Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Dorothy Berry, great-grandmother of 6 WINSLOW Dorothy Berry, 64, died Saturday (April 15, 1995) at home in Sicklerville.

Born in Springfield, she lived in Williamstown before moving to Sicklerville 16 years ago. Mrs. Berry was head of the cafeteria at Glassboro State College, now Rowan State College, for 15 years, retiring in 1993. Her husband, Milton P. Berry, died in 1984.

Surviving are two sons, Richard J. and Milton P. Berry both of Woodbridge; two daughters, Donna E. Berry of Sicklerville and Linda Cornelius of North Plainfield; a sister, Elissa Merchant of Rockaway; six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren; and a close companion, George Cipollone of Sicklerville. Services will be held at 10 a.m.

Wednesday at Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. John Luciew, owned cleaners in city PISCATAWAY John Luciew, 83, formerly of Plainfield, died Monday (April 17, 1995) at home here.

Born in New York City, he lived in Plainfield before moving to Piscataway 24 years ago. Mr. Luciew owned Luciew Cleaners and Dryers in Plainfield for 20 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Plainfield where he was active in bingo.

Mr. Luciew was a member of the Senior Citizens of Piscataway. Surviving are his wife, Mary Morgan Luciew; two sons, Richard B. of Piscataway and John Robert of Austin, Texas; and four grandchildren. Mass will be offered at 9 a.m.

FUNERAL NOTICES July 1990 with complicity in the killing of Drollet, who was shot dead in May 1990 at the Los Angeles home of her father. Christian Brando was convicted of the killing and sentenced to 10 Brando years in prison after a trial in Los Angeles. But authorities in Polynesia, a French territory, refused to force Cheyenne Brando to appear at the trial. After trying to kill herself in November 1990 with a large dose of antidepressant drugs, she underwent treatment at a Papeete hospital and later at a clinic near Paris. Thomas Sperry active in North Plainfield MIDDLETOWN Thomas Alexander Sperry 70, died Sunday (April 16, 1995) at home here.

Born in Mohawk, N.Y., Mr. Sperry had lived in North Plainfield for 22 years before moving to Middletown in 1973. He was vice president of Bailey, Martin Fay Insurance Co. in New York for 20 years, retiring in 1991. He was also president and chairman of the board of John C.

Paige Co. in New York, where he worked 15 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Sperry was a former councilman and mayor of North Plainfield: He was the past New Jersey Jay-cee president.

He also had been a JCI senator since 1969. He was a graduate of Amherst College and received a master's in business administration from Columbia University. He was a member of American Legion Post 1000 in Trenton, Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Surviving are his wife, Jacquelin Ellis Sperry; three sons, Thomas A. IV of Fort Wayne, Christopher Wells Sperry of Ithaca, N.Y., and John Lincoln Sperry of Princeton; four step-daughters, Deborah L.

Thomson of Manasquan, Candi S. Smock of Middletown, Jennifer Li Smock of Annapolis, and Marta J. Quinn of Palm Beach Gardens, two sisters, Katherine S. Hopper of Stuart, and Anne S. Rule of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

and six grandchildren. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at John E. Day Funeral Hom6 Inc. in Red Bank.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. John P. Zondlewski, Yellow Freight driver BRIDGEWATER John P. Zond-lewski, 64, died Sunday (April 16, 1995) at Somerset Medical Center ia Somerville.

He was born in Jersey City and had" lived in North Brunswick before moving to Finderne 27 years ago. He drove trucks for more than 30 years for Yellow Freight Systems in' East Brunswick. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart, United Nations Service Medal and the Kore-, an Service Medal with one bronze service star. He was member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 641 in Union.

Surviving are his wife, Irene Dus-zik Zondlewski; a son, Kevin J. of Raritan Borough; a daughter, Karen L. Kinter of Port St. Lucie, a sister, Mary Kopet of North Arlington; four grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 8 p.m.

Mr. Cornish was born in West Orange and had lived in Somerville before moving to Bridgewater last year. He retired in 1981 after 30 years of service with Mack Trucks, where he was a management supervisor. He was a member of the Somerset Alliance for the Disabled and co-chairman of the Somerset County Advisory Council on Disability Issues. He was a leader of Boy Scout Troop 82 in Somerville and a special police officer in Somerset County for 25 years.

1 Surviving are his wife, Harriet M. Cornish; two sons, Mark W. of Long Branch and Matthew Gerald of Somerville; a daughter, Mary Kathryn Cornish of Quakertown, a brother, Richard of Potomac, a sister, Kathryn Finn of Livingston; and a granddaughter. PAPEETE, French Polynesia (AP) Cheyenne Brando, daughter of actor Marlon Brando, committed suicide at her home in Tahiti after five years of depression, family associates said Monday. Ms. Brando, 25, had been distraught since the killing of her boyfriend, Dag Drollet, in 1990 by her half-brother, Christian Brando, and had tried to kill herself at least twice previously, according to her doctors.

Family associates, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said she hanged herself Sunday at her mother's home in Punaauia, 6 miles west of Papeete, the French Polynesian capital on the island of Tahiti. Ms. Brando, who had a 5-year-old son by Drollet, was the daughter of Marlon Brando and Tarita Teriipaia, a Polynesian who acted with Brando in the 1962 film "Mutiny on the Bounty." Cheyenne Brando was charged in Elizabeth Hoffman, taught in Tewksbury CALIFON Elizabeth Frace Hoffman, 86, died Sunday (April 16, 1995) at the home of relatives in Belford. Born in Washington Township, Morris County, she moved to Califon 62 years ago. She was an elementary schoolteacher in Independence and Tewksbury.

She attended the former Newton Norman School and was a graduate of Rutgers University. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fairmount, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Califon Fire Company and Hobart Chapter 63, Order of the Eastern Star in High Bridge. Surviving are her cousins. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Coughlin Funeral Home in Califon.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star service beginning at 8 p.m. Robert J. Kelber, professional musician CRANFORD Robert J.

Kelber, 88, died Monday (April 17, 1995) at Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home in Green Brook. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Cran-ford most of his life. Mr. Kelber was a self-employed musician for the past 40 years. Prior to that, he worked for the Baltimore Ohio Railroad.

He played for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra from 1940 to 1965 as well as various other New York and New Jersey orchestras. Mr. Kelber also was a member of the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music and taught at Hunterdon Central High School in Flemington in the summer music program for 15 years. He also attended Juilliard School of Music in New York City. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 151 in Elizabeth and the Musicians Guild of Essex County Local 16.

He was a member and former deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Cran-ford. His wife, Mary Seibert Kelber, died in 1987. Surviving are his son, David R. Kelber of Flemington, and his daughter, Jean P. Braulke of Watchung.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Cran-ford. Visitation is from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Gray Memorial Funeral Home in Cranford.

Harold James Littlefield, Seton Hall professor NORTH PLAINFIELD Harold James Littlefield, Ph.D., 85, died Saturday (April 15, 1995) at home here. Born in Verona, Dr. Littlefield lived in Bloomfield before moving to North Plainfield in 1974. Dr. Littlefield had a long career as a university professor at Seton Hall University in South Orange, retiring in 1982.

He also taught at New York University and Manhattan College. In addition to his academic career, Dr. Littlefield was an aviator and taught flying and ground school at Somerset Hills Airport in the early 1940s. From 1943 to 1945, he was a pilot for Trans World Airlines. Since teaching was his first love, he returned to the university scene and earned a Ph.D.

in Marketing and Management at New York University where he had previously earned his bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in business administration. In his spare time, he continued to teach flying at Pluck-emin and Solberg airports in Hunterdon County. After earning his doctorate, Dr. Littlefield began teaching at Manhattan College, where he was head of the Marketing and Management Department during the 1960s. He became a full professor of Marketing and Management at Seton Hall University in 1968.

He was an adjunct professor for a short time at the university in 1983. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy G. Graef Littlefield; three brothers, Arthur and Robert, both of Wicomico Church, and John of Asbury Park; and a sister, Helen Portine of Pomp-ton Plains. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Holy Cross in North Plainfield.

Arrangements are by Higgins Home for Funerals in Born in Bay-onne, he lived in the Plainfield area for 70 years. Before his retirement, Mr. Lemal was a traffic supervisor for New York Bell Telephone Co. for 40 years. He was a graduate of Amherst Lemal College in Amherst, and earned a master's degree from Columbia University in New York City.

Mr. Lemal was a noted Civil War historian and member of the New Jersey and New York Civil War Round-table organizations. He was a member of Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church in Plain-field and a former member of the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church. His first wife, Margaret Markham Lemal, died in 1948. Surviving are his wife, Helen Hage-man Lemal; a son, David Markham of Norwich, a daughter, Jeanne Marie Hurd of Laramie, and six grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday after the 10:30 a.m. services at Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church in Plainfield. Arrangements are by Brown's Funeral Home in Plainfield. LITTLEFIELD Dr. Harold James of North Plainfield on April 15, 1995.
