Mrs. Eddings accom panied her sister Mrs. Christ home, for a short visit. Mrs. Maxwell Wells of Or lando visited friends in Umatilla Thursday.

Mrs. Wells was also looking over arrangements for the American Legion Auxiliary School of Instruction, held in Eustis Sunday. October 13 was the opening day for registration and books will remain open until midnight Nov. 27, 1953, allowing for the 10 days prior to the elections which will be held on Monday, Dec. 7. Burris stated that the books have been placed in the Industries for the convenience of residents who have not yet become electors. To qualify, a prospective elector must have been a resident of the town for at least six months next preceding the election and be over 21 years of age.

Burris also stated that the books will be brought to any resident who may be unable to come to the clerk's office if notice is given either by mail or telephone. A special council meeting will be held seven days prior to the elections to purge the books of names of persons who may be ineligible to cast a ballot in the coming elections. Candidates have until midnight Nov. 27 to qualify. The office of mayor, town clerk, marshal and two council seats Will be vacant.

P-TA Budget Survey Set LEESBURG Leesburg High School teachers will be canvassed by directors of the Parent-Teacher Assn. to determine their most urgent needs before the budget for 1933-54 is completed. Directors Monday night approved a tentative budget calling for the expenditure of $700. Included among the items are $165, administration visual education; $100. cafeteria: $112, materials to build cabinets for the storage of home economic girls' materials.

It was announced there is now $441 in the treasury. Plans for magazine subscription sales in November and March were discussed. The P-TA made $700 from subscriptions last year. P-TA Program Slated Noy. 4 KISSIMMEE Mrs.

Milton Schatzman. president of the Osceola County P-TA, has announced the program for the county study group which will be conducted at Kissimmee Youth Center Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The State Plans of P-TA Work will he the subject and those who attended the P-TA Institute in Gainesville last June will participate in conducting the study.

They are Mrs. Schatzman, Nar-coosee; Mrs. Martha Younz, A. C. Payne, St.
