Fort Myers News-Press, Tuesday, May 23, 1978 Deaths And Funerals FORREST EARL BAUMGARDT SR. Forrest Earl Baumgardt 83, of 1106 River Road, North Fort Myers, died Monday. He was a retired carpenter and had been a resident of this area for 67 years. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Hattie Baumgardt; a daughter, Jo-Sherry Jones; three sons, Forrest E.

Baumgardt Jr. and Tommy Baumgardt, all of North Fort Myers, and Jesse W. Baumgardt of Surrency, two sisters. May Miller of Jacksonville and Esther Blount of Fort Myers; an aunt, Margaret Hudson of Clearwater, 15 grandchildren and two great-granchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.

at Leo W. Engelhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Rea Means officiating. Burial will be at Fort Myers Cemetery. ALLEN JOSEPH (JOE) SHELTRA Allen Joseph (Joe) Sheltra, 17, of 8th Avenue, LaBelle, died Saturday in Indiantown, Fla.

He was a native of Grand Rapids, and had been a LaBelle. He was a a member of the CB longtime resident of Indiantown and React Club in LaBelle. He is survived by his parents. Mr. and Mrs.

Robert J. Sheltra of LaBelle; a sister, Sheila Marie of LaBelle; three brothers, Robert James both of LaBelle, and Roger A. of the Pensacola Naval Air Station, and his paternal grandmother, Angelina Sheltra of Indiantown. Funeral mass will be celebrated today at 2 p.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Indiantown with the Rev.

Frank 'Laughlin officiating. Burial will be at Fern Hill Cemetery in Stuart, Fla. The Johns Funeral Home of Stuart is in charge of arrangements. DWIGHT SPICER NAPLES Dwight Spicer, of 2881 Riverview Drive, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami. He was born in Irvington, and had been a resident of Naples for 22 years, coming from Dayton, Ohio.

He was a veteran World War 11 and was a member of American Legion Post 135 in Naples. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jonell Spicer; two daughters, Michele Spicer and Pamela. Wheeler; four sons, Donald W. Spicer, Richard D.

Spicer, Dwight L. Spicer and James 0. Wheeler, all of Naples, several brothers and sisters, and four grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Seagate Baptist Church with the Rev.

James Odom, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Naples Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pittman's Naples Chapel, 850 6th Ave. N.

HILBURN E. SMITH COPELAND Funeral service for Hilburn E. Smith, 70, will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Earl G. Hodges Funeral Chapel with the Rev.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene. S. Abbott; a sister, Trula Martin of Granite City, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m.

at St. Hilary's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert Browning Jr. officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Resurrection. She is survived by her husband, Arthur P. Butler; one son, Robert A. Butler of Rosemont, two daughters. Mrs.
