By Charlie Wadsworfh F1 Ft Jol Ohlcu ido JsrfwhwsiMu UJhthA. 2' i TS OLD NEWS now everyone knows within a program or two what the major networks have lined up for the forthcoming fall season. Everyone knows that in the very near future Central Florida viewers will be receiving three television networks, none of which will require extra antennas and should be received clearly with hardly any more effort than it requires to flip the dials. But the question everyone is asking still remains very much up in the air: Where and more important, when do we turn to pick up our favorite programs? Well, at the moment, it appears that while we're about to be blessed with three stations we also are about to be confounded by two separate TV fall seasons and one before and the one after the time change on Oct. 28.

When (tn (I If In the same breath, there is the all-important question of when Daytona Beach's WESH-TV (Channel 2) will have its 100,000 watt tower near Orange City in operation. When the tower does start operating, it will be an NBC affiliate, thereby having the say-so on NBC programming. That means Orlando's WDBO-TV (Channel 6), a CBS affiliate which carries quite a few NBC and ABC programs, will have to switch to other programming. It also means both stations will be grabbing at ABC network shows. When WLOF-TV (Channel 9) comes on the air-around Jan.

1 or possibly earlier, they West Point. Zane Gray will be moved from Sunday to another night. The first half of the Patti Page Big Record Show will be carried on Wednesdays after Vic Damone leaves the air. Harbormaster replaces Bob Cummings (an NBC show) on Sept. 25.

Again the Question It remains to be seen whether the Perry Mason replacement for Jackie Gleason will be allowed in this area by the sponsor. If not, then it's Gale Storm and Phil Silvers on Saturday nights after Sept. 21 when Jimmy Durante concludes his stint of old films. Eve Arden's new show debuts Sept. 17 and for another sampler, the 20th Century starts Oct.

20, taking up where You Are There leaves off. There are others in the works but again you have the question of time. WLOF of course, with ABC still shy in filling all of its night time allotment but packed strongly in the spots they've picked, will want and probably get the ABC shows which will include Frank Sinatra's big package and the tremendously popular Lawrence Welk prizes among others. So, you can readily see how we're going to have two fall seasons and maybe three winter seasons before it's all over. hope, then there will be more changing around.

So, right now, WDBO and WESII are sitting tight and silently. Both have shows scheduled of course. For instance, WESH announces it will carry the NCAA football schedule just as soon as it goes into network affiliation. That's an NBC product. The station also has the much anticipated Pat Boone show (Thursdays 9 p.m.) which makes its ABC debut in a few weeks.

It also has two other ABC shows in the negotiation stage, one of which is carried by WDBO. But for its own -network programming other than the already signed football, the station must wait until its tower is readied and NBC firms its programming. The Orlando station, in its fourth year of operation, has a number of new programs on tap but due to those all-important points of time change and the date other stations get network affiliation, can schedule only to the time change and no further. Have Gun, Will Travel is a certainty to replace the repeating SRO Playhouse but will be kinescoped in all probability so you won't have this new hour-long Western bumping smack against Gunsmoke. Track Down, a Texas Ranger story, will replace ORLANDO SENTINEL TV LOG 16 TV.
