Everyone who has been in Florida more than a few daiys knows that during the last two weeks Julie Andrews, Glen Campbell, Bob Hope, Jonathan Winters, Buddy Hackett, Meredith Wlllson and Arthur Fiedler have been at Disney World filming the special. There may come a time when those of us who live here imay become more blase about Disney World (I can't really believe we will), hut right now it is one of the most exciting things in, our lives. I predict that NBC will have, at least in Florida, the largest share of viewing audience it has ever had as hundreds of thousands tune in. THE TELEVISION special was filmed over a nUfolber of days, so if you visited the attraction there is a good chance you are there on film, somewhere in the vast crowd. Even if your face can't be seen, isn't it nice to think "Gee, I was there when they shot that scene." And of course, thousands of Central Floridians were cast in the show, both as regular Disney employes or as members of the marching band or the choir.

Remember the time and place. Today, 8 p.m. on any NBC station. OVER THE years, WHOO Radio in Orlando has picked up a number of awards from Billboard Magazine. They have another one to add to the trophy room since Bobo Hood, vice president and general manager, was named "Country Music Manager of the Year" by the publication.

He was feted at a surprise party last week-at the Gold Key Inn Executive Club, An award from Billboard is a prestigious prize. The imagazine is not widely read by the general public, but in the professional world of music, it's about the last word. Liberal commentators on the convict uprising at Attica Prison were given a lashing by M. Stanton Evans on the Spectrum segment of the CBS morning news with John Hart broadcast last week. I DIDN'T hear the program, but just finished reading a transcript of Evans' comments.

He points out that many media authorities did not consider worth counting the deaths of four other people who were killed during the time when the convicts were in control of Attica prison, the guard killed during the original riot, and three prisoners all murdered by slashing and mutilation. Evans alsp objects to the gliding over the fact that in the case of George Jackson, one of the "Soledad Brothers" who was killed while trying to escape from San Quentin, three guards and two prisoners working as attendants were gruesomely murdered. "ALL THE lamentation concerns the casualties of the crackdown virtually none concerns the casualties of the riot itself," Evans said. He added also "the fact that the liberal commentators are weeping over the fate of convicted criminals while averting their gaze from the victims of criminals tells us all we need to know about the authenticity of their concern for 'civil Now ot THE MERRITT THEATRE-MERRITT NO EVIL" $1.00 TIL 2 P.M.
