Donald Jones and baby, Loren Dick of Minneapolis were dinner guests at the John Duerr home Sunday. A fire broke out at the Duerr brothers chicken farm Tuesday afternoon. Little damage was done. Miss Albertine Schraut of Pierz is visiting with her sisters here. Mr.

and Mrs. Marcus Berning are the parents of a baby girl. Mr. and Mrs. Melnrad Daleiden motored to Dumont Friday afternoon where they attended the funeral of Mr.

Daleiden's uncle Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fane of Minneapolis spent the week-end at the Joseph Duerr home. Lawrence Anselment is home for a 16 days leave of absence from the CCC camp at Ely.

Miss Bernedette Kilian of Brain-erd is visiting her parents for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Woida and Miss Rose Woida of Minneapolis called here Sunday evening. George Krieger motored to Zimmerman Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. George Fry of Canada attended the Hugo Barthel funeral and are now visiting with relatives here. Sunday they were dinner guests at the William Eull home. Herman Berning is ill.

A number of his children and grandchildren visited him Sunday. Greenbush Mrs. Ben Tice and children of Mora spent a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Grow.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grow and children have motored to the William Johnson farm. The Johnson family moved to Princeton where they will operate a lunch. room-Mrs.

Joseph Molotte entertained the Ladies aid on last Thursday. The next meeting wil be held on October 30 with Mrs. Louis Robi-deau. The food sale which was to have been held at Princeton has been postponed until November 2. Mr.

and Mrs. Clemens Volker observed their 20th wedding anniversary Saturday. Mrs. H. Schulte and son and Mrs.

Bert Schulte of Bogus Brook were among the guests. Miss Minnie Washburne returned to her home in Hill City Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Riebenstein and son, Frank accompanied her home to spend the day with relatives.

F. Beer and his sister, Mrs. Dora Hounder expect to leave this week for Isle where they will make their home. E. M.

Bertel Swanson of Ronneby Frank Heinen of Zimmerman was a caller here Saturday afternoon. Miss Octavia Rocheford of St Paul spent a week with relatives here. She returned to the Cities on Friday. Louis Rocheford of Minneapolis is visiting his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.

Leon Rocheford. Holdingford Miss Thresa Welna who teaches in St. Wendel, spent the week-end at home. Edward Compton has accepted tht position as operator of a movie machine in several CCC camps. His place here is taken by Stanley Brenny.

John Ostby, who has been in North Dakota for several months, returned on Saturday. His partner, William Pelaskl, left for his home in Perham, where he will enjoy a vacation. Rev. John Kromolicki was a St. Cloud visitor on Friday.

Miss Marcella Klasen who teaches at Menahga spent the week-end at home after attending the CMJEA, at St. Cloud. Mrs. Anna Valentine visited with her son, John, in St. Paul last week from Saturday until Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Breckel spent the week-end at Heron Lake. Miss Pauline Lang returned to Minneapolis Sunday evening after spending her vacation at the homt of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Chas. Lang. Mrs. Rudolph Winkler is visiting her sister, Mrs. August Kuschel, at Brainerd.

Mrs. Henry Schnieder and mother, Mrs. E. Murphy, accompanied by Mrs. M.

Rooney were in St. Cloud last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Rader and family and Mr.

and Mrs. Bauer of St. Cloud spent the week-end with Mrs. Regina Pallansch. The men came out for hunting.

Ves Scott, and son, Donald, of Bemidji called on old friends and neighbors in town Sunday. Ves used to live in Swanville and operate a barber shop for a number of years in the building now occupied by the Auslander Cafe. Mr. Scott lives in Bemidji where he operates a barber shop, Donald, who is well known here, operates a oil station in Bemidji. O.

E. Lundquist and sister of Minneapolis motored to Pillsbury Sunday to look over the old home grounds, and they had difficulty in even locating where the old house stood. Miss Lenora Smith who is visiting from New York had intended, to depart for New York Sunday but on account of illness was forced to make a longer stay with home folks. Robert Hall and Stub Smith are making preparations for a long, trip about the first of the month. The boys are building a trailer house and will hit the trail for Florida and other points in the southland for the winter months perhaps returning by California.

and Mrs. William Lohse gave a party Saturday night for friends. They have sold their farm here and have purchased a home in Eden Valley. Mrs. Frank Baril and children spent the week-end here.
