Melbourne 512-W. MELBOURNE Bed capacity of Brevard Hospital will be in-creased 32 pet. when the addition now being built Is completed in about six weeks, James E. Holmes, president of the board of governors of the Brevard Hospital said last night. Speaking to members of Fr.

Gabriel Council 3746, Knights of Columbus, in Palm Bay Parish Hall, Holmes said that shortly after the addition goes into service, bed capacity will ba increased another 10 pet. This will be made possible by remodeling in the main building as the addition is made available soley to ob-stertrical cases. THE ADDITION will in-crease bed capacity by 15. Remodeling is expected to add five more beds foi a total of 67. Aug.

1 is the target date for opening the addition. "We are keeping our sights on a new 100-bed hospital," Holmes said, "but we are a long way from having the $1.5 million necessary to build it. "Meanwhile, by the expendi ture of approximately $35,000 for the addition, we will have accomplished something tangible by increasing bed capacity considerably. To have used the same amount of money to break ground for a new hospital would have been a feeble and meaningless gesture." POINTING OUT that efforts are being made to increase membership in Brevard Hospital Holmes said, "Brevard Hospital is your hospital. It is a voluntary, non-profit hospital supported solely by income from patients your contributions.

a to patients are based, not on profit, but on the cost of conducting the hospital under sound business management. "Your help, and that of every resident of this area, is needed to help your hospital meet the constantly increasing demands upon it. "Patient days increased 30 pet. last year over 1955. Sur gical cases increased 50 and so did births.

This April, surgical cases went up 30 pet. Majorettes Give Show For Kiwanis LEESBURG Twenty-two girls, sparkling in bright-frilled majorette uniforms, yesterday put on their first stage performance in a special program before the Kiwanis Club here. Under the instruction of Mrs. Roy Carter, Eustis, the youngsters gave an exciting performance going through twirls and high steps. Among the group were two Eustis High School majorette leaders.

One, Bette Bruce, was recently named majorette queen at the Central Florida National Baton Twirling Contest in Eustis. MAKING THEIR debut in stage performance were the Orangettes, a class of baton twirlers from Skeen Elementary School here. Leader of the group and assistant instructor is Dawn Lorenz, one of the top majorettes at Lees-burg High School. Also in the group was Angela Allday, Leesburg, who was chosen twirling sweetheart at the contest in Eustis. JERRY MURPHY sells Ameri ca finest mobile home on wheels.
