Mr. Zmunt is survived by his wife, Celia; step-daughter, Norma Lee Schwab of LaJofle, sister, Al-thea Winet of Vero Beach; one step-grandchild and two step great-grandchildren.

Bettelheim died Tuesday of suicidal asphyxiation at the Charter 'House in Silver Spring, said Dr. John E. Smialek, Maryland's medi-eal examiner. Friends said Bettelheim recently had suffered a stroke.
