Cornett, 70, Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away on October 26, 1982, at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, after- several weeks' illness, He was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, on May 27, J912, to the late Elizabeth Maggard Cornett and Luther Cornett.

His wife, Leon Holmes preceded hur in death on February 1, 1963. They were married on October 14, 1935. He is survived by one son, Robert W. Cornett, Waynesburg; two daughters, Mary C. Padgett, Waynesburg, and Martha Sue Boots, McKINNEY, October (KID Sears, 80, McKinney, a Kentucky, passed away, on Sunday, October 31, 1982, at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford after several weeks -illness.

He was born in Carlisle, Kentucky, on September 30, 1902, to the late Elizabeth Coy Sears and Brack Sears. He was retired from the Southern Railroad Company, after which time he worked as a janitor at the McKinney School for five years. He is survived by his wife, Ada Yocum Sears; one stepson, Delmer Yocum, Route 2, Tancaster; four Lakehurst, New Jersey; two sisters, Hattie Halcomb and Mallie Eldridge, both of Waynesburg; and six grandchildren. Mr. Cornett was a retired miner, UJK.W.f and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

He was ordained a Primitive. Baptist Minister in 1954 and worked' for the United Mine Workers. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 29, 1982. at 2 p.m., at Barnett's Funeral Home, Waynesburg. Bro.

Earl Hacker and Bro. Vola Brown officiated. Burial was in the Parlor Grove Cemetery, Waynesburg. Choral workshop Novembers The Lincoln County High School Chorus will be joining crTorus members from Madison Central High School and Rockcastle County High School to form the fifth Tri-County Choral Music Workshop "Monday, November 8, 1982. The three schools will supply approximately 60 students each to form the Tri-County Chorus.

This group will meet together at Rockcastle County High School on Monday, November 8, 1982, for rehearsals. These rehearsals will be held all day on Monday arid a concert of 180 voices will conclude the day in the RCHS Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m On Tuesday, November 9, 1982, at 7:30 p.m., this chorus will be performing at Madison Central High School. On Thursday, November 11, 1982, at 7:30 p.m., this chorus will perform -in the LCHS Gymnasium. This concert is open to the public at a cost of $1.00, children under 12 free. Tickets may be purchased by calling LCHS or at the door.

Owsley, 51, Walnut Street, Crab Orchard, passed away Saturday night, October 30, 1982, in a car accident. Born in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Morris and Margaret Snodgrass Owsley.

He was a machinist of the Rex-nord Company in Danville. A member of the First Baptist Church of Crab Orchard, he was retired from the U.S. Navy Air Force after 23 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean -and Vietnam conflicts and a member of the V.F.W. He was junior vice-commander of the Steve Done Post 7101 of Stanford.
