Born in Poland, he had resided in Plainfield and South River before coming here 10 years ago.

He was a retired machinist from Ingoes Brothers of Newark. Mr. Ostrowski was a past president of the Polish National Home, Plainfield, a member of the Polish National Alliance 1453, a communicant and trustee of St. Stanislaus Church, Plainfield. Surviving are his widow, Mrs.

Childs FANWOOD Mrs. Laura C. Childs, 34, of 79 Hunter died Saturday (Dec. 17, 1966) of an apparent heart attack in Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Mrs.

Childs moved here five months ago from Brooklyn. She was a communicant of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church, Scotch Plains. Surviving are her husband, Felix S. Childs and a daughter, Bridget at home; her mother, Mrs.

Matthew Rooney of Dublin; three brothers, John, Matthew and Paul Rooney, also of Dublin; five sisters, Miss Patricia Rooney, Miss Ursula Roo ney, Miss Marie Rooney and Mrs. Detta Duffy, all of Dublin, and Mrs. Gerald Donovan of London, England. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Dooley Colonial Home, West-field.

Main died Saturday (Dec 17, 1966) in the Hunterdon Hills Nursing Home, Glen Gardner, after a long illness. She was the widow of Charles Saling. Mrs. Saling, who was born in New York, lived most of her life in this area. She is survived by two sons, Louis of Bradley Gardens and Harold with whom she made her home; two sisters, Mrs.

Charles Trout and Miss Lorettta, Lo- max, both of Branchburg; a brother, Thomas Lomas, Cats- kill, N. six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Garwood and Bayonne Lodge 99, F. and A.M. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Stella Schwedaitis McCaskill; two daughters, Misses Anne P. and Ellen both at home; two sons, Robert of Cranford and John, at home; his mother.

Clark of Milford, formerly of Arbor, died Saturday (Dec. 17, 1966) in Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington. He was 79. Mr. Clark moved here 22 years ago when he retired as a carpenter employed by con tractors in the Westfield-Plain- field area.

Born in Murray Hill, he was a member of the Mountainside Chapel of Mountain side. His wife, Mrs. Cornelia Clark, died in 1964. Surviving are two sons, Charles L. at home and Clifford E.

of Neptune; a daughter, Mrs. Ida Shively of Arbor; a brother, Samuel of Muncie, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Rush Funeral Home, Bloomsbury. In terment will be in Bloomsbury Cemetery.

fv SKRUTOWSKI On Saturday, Dec. 17, I9i. Tessie. of 116 Evans Pis cataway, wife of the late William Skru- CLINTON-Isadore S. Smith, 83, owner of Smith's Depart ment Store in Main St.

for more than 30 years, died Saturday (Dec. 17, 1966) in Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, just two days after his wife, Mrs. Sophie L. Smith, 78, was fatally stricken while visiting him there. Double funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in the Trimmer Memorial Funeral Home.

The couple had resided in Flemington for 56 years and at their late address in Allen Flemington, for the past 10 years. Admitted Thursday Mr. Smith was admitted to the hospital Thursday after an ill ness of several months. Mrs. Smith went to the hospital that day to visit her husband.

She was stricken in the hospital elevator and died shortly thereafter. Her death was due to coronary causes. Mr. Smith was born in Russia Nov. 10, 1883.

After serving in the Russian Army as a marine, he came to the United States in 1905, settling in New York. He moved to Flemington in 1910 where he opened Smith's Department Store and operated it for 22 years. In 1S32 he moved his business to this place where he continued to operate it until he retired about three months ago due to illness. Since that time the store was operated by his son, Herman, his business associate for many years. In Business 56 Years Mr.

Smith was one of the old est Hunterdon County business men and retail merchants, based on his 56 years of store operations. Mr. Smith became a natur alized U. S. citizen in the early 1900s in Flemington.

He and Mrs. Smith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1962. He was a member of Hobart Lodge, F. and A.M., High Bridge; Crescent Temple Shrine, Trenton, and Hunterdon Forest 13, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, all Masonic organizations. For many years he served as chairman of the United Jewish Appeal fund drive in Hunterdon County.

Surviving are four sons, Herman at home, Nathan of Washington (N.J.); Harold of Annan-dale and Arthur of Ogden, Utah; i nf dren. Masonic rites for Mr. Smith were held yesterday at 1:30 p.m. in the Trimmer Memorial Funeral Home by Hobart Lodge, F. and A.M.

The double rites were held there yesterday at 2 p.m. Rabbi Isaac S. Wasserman of Somerville officiated. Interment was in Beth Abraham Cemetery in East Brunswick. Conrad Munz NEW VERNON Conrad Munz, 72, died at his Millbrook Road home on Friday, (Dec.

Born in Austria, where his fa ther was a member of Franz Joseph's Parliament, Mr. Koster came to the United States in 1914. After studying at Temple University, he established a real estate business in 1920. During his 47 years of practice, he was vice president of the Jersey City Real Estate Board and president of Chapter 1, Institute of Real Estate Man agement.

He was a member of the Westfield Board of Realtors For the past 20 years, his activities were centered in the Moun tainside area Among his business associates were his son, Emilian W. Koster and his son-in-law, George M. Magee, both of Fanwood. He was a Fourth Degree mem ber of Westfield Council 1711 Knights of Columbus; the Holy! Name Society, Westfield Chamber of Commerce and the building committee of Our Lady of Lourdes' Church in Mountainside. Surviving are his widow, Mrs.

Petrunella Wagner Koster; his son, Emilian; and four daughters, Mrs. George M. Magee of Fanwood, Mrs. Hugh E. Smith of Sunnyvale, Mrs.

John M. Crowley of Scotch Plains and Miss Elizabeth Koster of Mountainside, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from Smith and Smith Suburban, Springfield, Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Solemn High Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
