It was sweet, as if of the previous day's production. He also had a sample containing separations for seven daya and it, too, was sweet and wholesome. The cooling tank was advocated at the dairy meeting held here some time ago. The U. S.

dairy division does not sell this tank, nor advocate any particular make; it simply advocates the tank as a mean3 of keeping cream sweet and clean and wholesome. The station has a few cooling tank which it wil. be glad to loan free of charge to farmers if the latter will co-operate with it in its work her. At the meeting on the afternoon of Mafch 2nd, Mr. Thurston will have a sample showing how cream keeps in the cooling tank.

Boyer returned from conference Tuesday. He has been assigned the work at Harveyville for the coming year. Rev. Beyer has been on this work for three years and his many friends regret to see him and his excellent family leave us. Mrs.

Voorhies of Belleville, Kansas, came Monday to attend the. funeral of her brother, C. D. Bowling. Fred Stalter is riding in a new Maxwell now-a-days.

I. N. Sturgis and wife and Roy Sturgis of Herington visited at R. S. Sturgis Sunday.

Clark Donaldson Bowling, was born in Rock Island County, 111., February 16. 1862, and passed away at his home in Delavan, Kansas, March 26, 1917, age 5 years. 1 month and 10 days. He was united in marriage to Carrie K. Morley in the year 1SS3.

To this union weie born seven children who with their mother eurvive him. They are Mrs. L. R. Burton, of Has-well, Mrs.

Roy Hillery, of Ke-wanee, Mrs. Claude Sellon, of Gaylbod, Mrs. Herman Holt, of Union, Mrs. Roy Peterson, Harry and Alta Bowling of Delavan. All were present at his funeral except Mrs.
