THURSDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1938. IRONWOOD DAILY GLOBE, IRONWOOD, MICH. FIVES Many Children to Take Part In Christmas Program Tonight. The Christmas program the Roosevelt school Ironwood township will be presented at the school tonight at 7:30 with the members of the various classes in the Roosevelt school and the McKinley school presenting a Yuletide program. The entertainment will open with several numbers by the junior high school band under the direction of Walter Daley.

The numbers chosen for the program are, "The First Assembly March;" a waltz, "Morning Flowers;" a duet hv Ada and Mary Haute, "Whispering Rope;" a march, "O'er riill and Dale;" and "The Star Spangled Banner." Kindeicaiten in Numbers Members of the band are Mary Haute, Toivo Lahti, Lorraine Hill, Wilbert Hooping, Benjamin ttajala, and John Talo, clarinet players; Irene Nyman, saxophone; Eugene Paananen, Marvin Kuivinen, Donald Maki, alto horn; Raymond Miel- oszyk, bass horn; Anton Sobolewski, baritone horn; John Lahti. trombone; Alexander Kusz, Carl Leppanen, George Butson, Edna Haanpaa, trumpet; Ada Ranta, flute; Arne Stool, bass drum; Reuben Paananen, snare drum; Arnold Piirtola, symbols. A song and dialogue number. "Don't Wait Until the Night Before Christmas to be Good," follows on the program along with "A Gift tor Father," by Dona Mae Hakala, a song, "Santa Claus" and another song, "Good Night and Merry Christmas," by the members of the kindergarten. The following kindergarteners will take part in the above selections: Lloyd Abramson, Donald Aho, Denise Bert, Ronald Brown, Shirley Chase, Judith Estola, Ronald Haanpaa, Norma Hakari.

Present a Skit Twinkle Little Star," by the first grade children, comes next on the program. This song is an adaptation of the familiar Mother Goose song. The eight girls will take the drill part in this number are Claudette Mayo, Lorraine Rajala, Jean Hill, Lorraine Maki, Elaine Lassila, Lorraine Kangas, Id Niemi and Dorothy Waurio. The singers for the number are Kenneth Hellen, Rudolph Matiska, Joyce Alho, Bernard Walquist, Cynthia Lento, Phoebe Tassava, Marvin Pakonen, Albert Synkelma, William Spetz, Melvin Kevari, Phyllis Mark. John Carlson, Alvin Hafcko.

Donald Maki, Jack Nyman, Anna Marie Palojarvi. Fourth on the program will be presented a skit by second grade children, "Bedtime on Christmas Eve." In this little skit the mothers put their children to bed on Christmas Eve warning them to be quiet ii they want Santa to come. However, they are awakened by the tound of hoofs and jingle bells. Santa Claus joins the children in their fun. Wilbert Maki will be Santa Claus.
