Prizes: $200 - Grand prize winner $50 - Each category winner Recipe Contest Rules: 1. Submit recipes to the Life department of the Salina Journal by Friday, October 4. Only one recipe per category, please. 2. Prepare your submitted recipe and bring it to the Saline County Extension Office, 300 W. Ash, Room 109, between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 16. Note: Please, do NOT mail recipes unless you plan to prepare them. 3. Contestants will be photographed when they deliver their entries. The photographs will be published with the winning recipes in the Holiday Cookbook. 4. Food entries will be tasted by a panel of judges. First-, second- and third-place winners will be selected in each of the seven categories. 5. The seven first-place winners will be eligible to win the grand prize. 6. Food entries cannot be returned. 7. Bring your entries in DISPOSABLE containers. Only a small portion of the recipe is needed for judging.
