Movie Fare Rock Hudson Cast As A Jungle Doctor Rock Hudson, one of the top en movie box office attractions ast year, stars as a doctor in 'The Spiral Road," opening Sunday, Jan. 13, at Ottawa's Plaza Theater. The story is set in the jungles of the Netherlands East Indies where Rock joins the world's top authority on leprosy, played by Burl Ives. Blonde Gena Rowlands, the »irl friend the young doctor left behind in the Netherlands, decides to join him in the jungles, and the two are married. Ives doesn't care for this development, because he feels a bride will detract from the young doctor's research. Complicating matters further is Judy Dan, a former Miss Universe finalist from Hong Kong playing a jungle beauty who captivates Rock. The Plaza twinbill, "Journey to the Seventh Planet," starring John Agar, and "Shootoul at Big Sag," with Walter Brennan, will end tonight.
