Clairsville, Ohio, May 15, 1922. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University tot and was a member Pi Beta Phi from 1941-1943. She married her high school sweetheart, John Morris Newlin, November 12, 1943. They had four beautiful children. The Newlins moved to Fort Myers, Florida, in August 1956.

Carlye was a member of Rotary Ann, The Fort Myers Women Community Club, active in Little League baseball, organized the Ft. Myers Alumni club for Pi Phi, was an AVID golfer and original founding member of Cypress Lake Country Club. Carlye made SEVEN "holes in one" during her golf career! Carlye was a member at Peace Community Church, loved to and host family gatherings. She was always up to date with stats of the latest golf baseball game. She truly loved discussing sports with her sons.

Mema could normally be found working crossword puzzles, playing cards with her grandchildren, or nursing sick friends. Mema was an amazing family role model and an inspiration to all on how to live and care for others. Mema never stranger, was kind hearted and gentle spirited. Her vivacious character, wisdom, she and came in patience contact with, feel exceptionally special. Carlye left a large, devoted family behind.

Two daughters, Jill (Butch) Fulton, and Jane Stanford. Two sons, John (Debbie) Newlin and Jerry (Traci) Newlin. Seven grandchildren: David (Laurie) Fulton, Charlie (Wendy) Fulton, Kitty (Phil) Davis, Jonathan (Kim) Newlin, Isaac (Lauren) Newlin, Beau Stanford, Kirschner. and Jamie (Tommy) great- grandchildren: Spencer, Katie, Ben, Chase, Carlye, and Cole Fulton, Jackie and KaitDavis, Anne Marie and Phare Newlin, and Grace Kirschner. 4 stepgrandchildren, Terri (Mike) Peck, Matt (Anna) Mason, Louis (Yvette) Kinchen, and Randa (Boe) Kellogg 14 children: Madison and Gavin Peck, Hunter, Matthew and Jayden Mason, Drew, Rhys, Veta and Tripp Kinchen, Jace, Jett, Jared, Jake and Hayes Kellogg.

Carlye left a niece and nephew, Amy Edwards and Jimmy Newlin. Her family greatly appreciates the outpouring of support, prayers and sympathy by friends and neighbors. Thank you to Gulf Coast Hospital and Hospice for using tender hearts and gentle hands while caring for our dear loved one.
