MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY READERS HELPING OTHERS I! The daily difference T HIS OCT. 26, Make A Difference Day, entire communities will come together to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, build houses, clean streets and care for children. But Dorothy Fox, 65, a retiree and great-grandmother in Burlington, Mich., is one reminder that many people do not need a "day" to prompt them to care. Indeed, the purpose of Make A Difference Day is to show what can happen when individual efforts are combined. Nearly 1 million people from Harlem to Honolulu simultaneously volunteered on the last Make A Difference Day. Think what could happen this Oct. 26 if all Americans took action.
